Jeff, in answer to your question
"An off-topic: Sri Melor is getting dirtier amd dirtier. Cat-sized rats may breed and infest the neighbourhood, soon.

Can JKP Zon3 get MPSJ to do a "comprehensive" health check, and action taken?"
Your observation was submitted during the JKP Zon3 meeting held in December 2003, it was agreed that action be taken to inform MPSJ, I was unable to make a reply, as I was not at the meeting.

During the JKP meeting last night, I was told that MPSJ have been notified accordingly. Should you notice no change to the situation, please let us know and we will bring this matter up to their attention again.

    Great job, Robertec.

The last time I patronised Sri Melor was on the night of Jan 1. with some friends. I'm afraid the toilet and food-serving areas, plus the overall floor condition and the kerb looked oily and dirty.

I wish others who patronise Sri Melot at USJ17 could share you feedback.

You want a feedback, I am glad to share mine with you.

Two years ago, once I had lunch there. Had diarrhoea and vomitting for two days after consuming a curry fish rice there, one plate of "ikan kembung" curry rice. Almost died.

At another time, sometime middle of 2003, ate an insect with rice there, I think it was a drowned fly. The insect was crunchy.

Since then, I have stop patronizing Sri Melur.

The only mamak place that I find clean and worth going is Canai & Such in Taipan. A little expensive, but it is clean!

I went to Sri Melor last night to see first hand the condition of this eatery.

It had just stopped raining outside and there were quite a lot of people moving about in the shop.

In all fairness, I found everything in order with the toilets and serving areas, considering the amount of people in the shop. And yes, the floors were a bit oily, but nothing a mop would not be able to remove.

Should you notice the condition deteriorating further, just let us know.

It is strange that some people have been complaining about the cleanliness of Sri Melur (USJ 17) when I find it one of the cleaner mamak places around. Want to see dirty? Go to any outdoor food court in the klang valley, the SS15 and SS2 ones spring to mind. Want extremely dirty? Go to petaling street and see all those people queuing up for chinese food or ikan bakar at places I would not dare set foot on incase it might dirty my shoes.

it is in USJ 16 along the now famous Jalan Usaha, opposite the Caltex station. FYI, if u don't know Jln Usaha, it is the residential service road which links Jln Tujuan (entrance btwn USJ 12 & 13) and the LDP, running parallel to Persiaran Kewajipan.

dunno how to make it clearer! hope that helps...

    Aimless,
Couldn't be more clear ! I suggest may be you should add : the small road which Sime UEP & MPSJ cheated the residents by allowing some commercial taikor to take charge !

But Sri Melor is in USJ 17, opposite usj 16 where caltex is located. Because of these shops, the residents along Jln Usaha have to suffer from the noise and dust and danger, so, anyone here I hope you don't patronize them.
