Basically my son (my one and only angel cum devil) is in Standard 1 in Sek Keb Seri Selangor. I am more nervous than him I guess that's how things should be.

So parents please throw in tips, suggestions and comments to help each..not only on the school and class but other related activities like games, curricular activities and stuff.

Oh yes...first and foremost hope the school will do something about the slippery floor due to moss in front of 1 Orange class...cause I saw couple of parents slipping and falling. Not a pleasant sight.

your girl is Std 1 is it? How can they ask like that? I was told that forms will be sent out to parents to be filled up.

Knowing my boy in std 1...he hardly pays attention...I am pretty sure he would had raised his hand for anything which means less work and more play

    Hi nona and usjhomer,

Normally the practice was, they should to pass a form to parents to fill up. My daughter was in std 1 last year. And then, if there is demand, they would start the chinese classes.

There is no tamil classes for 1&2, I was told only on Std 3, it will be started.

My son is also in 1 orange this year, unfortunately he had miss the class today, since he was running high on fever.

Not only the floor, the toilets are badly maintained as well, since some of the flush aint working. My wife made a complaint to the Admin.

Hey Veejay...my boy is in 1 Orange as well. He told me the toilets are really bad as well. I make him attend to his toilet needs before he leaves home to school.

Anyway my son told me that on Thursday they can wear any clothes of their choice...

    confirmation anyone??

Finallly the Chinese classes started last Thursday. I went to the school today to buy the Mandarin workbooks. The bookshop only opens 5 days a week. I went to the office to get the book list...they don't have.

I was told to wait until some students buy it first and ask my son to ask them the book name.

I errrr....uhmmm.....said ok and left for my next appointment for the day.

That was the first time I heard something like that from an official so I need time to register to give an appropriate response.

Nona, to my understanding there is no workbook. There is only text book which was given out on Thursday.

But you need to purchase notebooks ( 3 books).

Just came back from the Tae Kwan Do session. Well Veejay suprising the office can't give such a simple advice.

Time to check my son's school bag for the workbook then. He seems to have 'forgotten' to tell me that.

dont rely on the office, its real messed up, they know nothing!....normally we check with the class teacher itself.
