How do you spot an SJ Alert Member?

The first thing you will notice is the slight smile on their faces, a smile that comes from the knowledge that as SJ Alert Members they have become the "Eyes and Ears of Subang Jaya".

The smile also stems from the fact that, information from the SMS & EMS Crime Reports obtained from the Police, make SJ Alert Members more knowledgeable about crime prevention. A smile that says, "I can make a difference in fighting crime and helping the Police without endangering myself or my loved ones".

Oh yes, lest we forget, you will also spot a "Deputy SJ Alert Sticker" (as below) proudly displayed on their car windscreen.

Don't be surprised that even the Inspector General of Police, YDH Tan Sri Musa bin Dato' Hj Hassan, the Deputy Inspector General of Police YDH Tan Sri Haji Ismail bin Omar, and Former Inspector General of Police, Tun Mohammed Hanif bin Omar have such stickers on their cars, after all they are all registered members of SJ Alert. Now, how about you?

    Where to get the stickers

All registered members can collect their SJ Alert Car Stickers from the following address:

You can also collect the Stickers at the SJ Alert counter whenever an event is organised by the USJRA or when we organise an event with the Police.

The next event we have with the Police would be the

    Balik Kampung - Rumah Selamat

For more details call or SMS : 6012-6933996

Is there any extra priviledges by displaying this sticker in the windscreen apart from giving u the number to call in case of emergency?

    There are presently no priviledges.

That is a very good question.

There are no priviledges available at present.

If you would like to make some suggestions, I could present them to the Committee or even to the Police for their consideration.

I think the priviledge is that we have someone looking out for us Another priviledge is that it can block the excess sun ray, depending on where you stick

One of the suggestions would be getting discounts on some parking places... work with Sunway (or even special parking lot for cars with SJ Alert sticker!), work with SS15 market parking space....this would encourage more people to put up this sticker... Well, this is only my suggestion... please ignore if this is not feasible.

IMHO, they might abuse it. They might not be the genuine in getting the sticker. The point is to be part of something for the safety of the neighbourhood.

How about having the privilege to do some good for the community?

I bet you have misunderstood my intention.. I am proposing some priviledges for people to put the car sticker so that it will encourage people to put them in the car.... it has nothing to do with rewards for doing community works. Community works are normally on voluntary basis, it is not lured by rewards.

There is some hiccup to the weekly criminal report via SMS. I understand Robertec is resolving this issue... will continue once things sorted out.
