Eating Out with Patrick

Vintage Cafe at the Summit

A decent, reasonable restaurant serving one of the best Fish and Chips!

Fish Tempura using Alaskan Pollock Literally hidden away on the 2nd floor of Summit Shopping Complex is an unpretentious restaurant called Vintage Café. Quite a new comer to the Complex, I discovered them about half a year back and have hardly fail to patronize the outlet whenever I visit Summit.

Vintage has a Western Menu that are delightfully tasty and “healthy” with comparatively a generous amount of fresh green that I really enjoy. Personally, I love fish and chips but these days it is so difficult to find a restaurant that dont use dory fish which I do not particularly fancy. You can just imagine my happiness when I found Vintage that uses Alaskan Pollock to make their Fish & Chips !! Yipee….it was sheer culinary happiness!! Since then, I have almost never failed to order my favourite item whenever I am at Vintage in Summit. Chef Jim consistently produce a nice fluffy fish to satisfy my taste thus far.

Besides Fish & Chips, one should be able to find something to delight ones palate. Their menu range from Economy Breaded Fish Cabonara, Fruit Salad to Lamb Shoulder. I have tried some of their sphaghetti items and have found them to be good too. I must confess I have not tried too many items in their Menu as I am quite obsessed with their Fish & Chips!

There is no GST and all orders come with complimentary Ice Lemon Tea. The best news is that patronizing Vintage will not burn a hole in your pocket as items are reasonably priced from RM8.50 to 18.90. Vintage management are mostly very accommodating if you have any inhibition to certain ingredients or wish to order extra of something else. Managing the restaurant, Ms Low has always been very friendly and helpful.

Check out Vintage Café the next time you are at the Summit. They close on Saturday and is located at Lot S2.61, somewhere on the floor above Mr DIY. Their contact number is 0133508002
