Nokdu Pindaetok or Green Beans pancake If you are game for Korean food, you would be please to learn that a Korean outlet has finally made it to our 'shore'.

Soraksan Restaurant, with its very pleasant ambience, just opened recently at the premises vacated by the former Chimes. Managed by Mr Paul Koh and his Korean spouse, Soraksan offers a reasonable range of choice on their menu. I found their prices to be most reasonable. Oh, before I forget. If you rush there this month (June), you get a 20% off your bill!

The menu's BBQ Menu are served for both lunch and dinner and are priced from RM10.90 to 24.90. Most of the items are priced at around 10.90 which makes it very affordable. to the most interesting section! Their Korean Bento Sets for lunch are priced only from RM6.90! The most expensive item is the beef ribs which is priced at RM11.90! I had the Bulgogi Bento (sliced beef in gravy) for 7.90 and I loved the gravy. I also tried their Korean rice drink. Something very nice and different. Tasted a bit like barley! At RM1.50, hey, I'd rather hang out here than at the humid non air-conditioned coffee shops elsewhere man!

Soraksan also serves the usual Korean favourites Kimchi, soups and Jonggols or Hot pot dishes. Again, prices are very reasonable, at about RM15 for 2 pax and about RM27 for 4 pax.

Some of the side dishes which sound interesting are Korean sushi, green beans pancake and Tong Rang Deng (Korean cutlet with mince chicken and tofu). Again, very reasonably priced at RM4.90 for Small and 7.90 for Large. Drinks are also reasonably priced.

You bet I'll be going back to try out the other dishes! And if you too are giving it a go, do write to tell us what else is good there.
