Urban Survival Workshop

Learn to survive in this Urban jungle.
Posted on 06.43pm Feb 07, 2014

Crime JKP Zone 3 is organizing a One Day Urban Survival Workshop, that will be sponsored by the office of the ADUN Subang Jaya YB Hannah Yeoh. Details of the Workshop are:

DATE: Saturday 22 Feb 2014 TIME: 9am - 4.30pm

VENUE: SS Community Hall, SS 15/4, Subang Jaya

Conducted by Master Y J Wong, the Chief Instructor of Urban Warrior Combat System (UWCS)

Many of us live and work in an urban environment and spend most of our urban lifestyle either at home, office, shopping complexes or in schools.

However, as we move into the 21st century, many
things in our country are changing. From social,
political, crime, global events, religious frictions
and even political spill over from neighbouring
countries are affecting us. Whether we choose to
be directly involved or not, we sometimes cannot escape
from it simply because of circumstances. The environment is so dynamic,
we have no choice but to address these issues. Simply by just ignoring it will not make it go away. Just like a tsunami, whether we like it or not, it will drag us along.

WORKSHOP CONTENT
Master Wong and his Team from UWCS will help us to confront these issues and by addressing them. He will help participants to prepare themselves in the best possible manner to defend themselves. Preparation can come in four ways :

1) Identifying and recognizing the threat
2) Preparing mentally
3) Training and preparing for it physically
4) Full scale preparation – material, financial and high technical & tactical abilities.

Those who are most prepared have the best chances of survival when threatened.

Key/ Major Threat Areas :

1) Urban Crime : Home Invasion / Car Jacking / Kidnapping / Robbery and Mugging / Breaking and Entry
Snatch Theft and Thieving /

2) Accident & Disaster (Home, Work, Driving, Family safety)
Natural Disaster/ Fire, Vehicle Accident, Home/ Work Accident/ Kids

3) Social Outing – Going out alone, with friends, unknown people, partying / clubbing.

4) IT & Personal Information – Information Security, Data Mining and Espionage

In order to enable full participation, we can only accept 50 participants for this Workshop. Those interested and above 18 years of age, please email your name, address, phone contact to patrick@usj.com.my to register. Light refreshment will be served during the workshop. Registration will close by 16 February, 2014 or once the 50 places have been taken, whichever comes first.
