and its story
A Function Befitting A Great Cop & A Friend of the Community
A Final Tribute to Tuan Foo at the Balik Kampong, Rumah Selamat Launch.
Posted on 11.06pm Jan 18, 2009
The USJ RA and the Community took the opportuntiy at the Balik Kampong Launch, to pay a final tribute to the late Tuan Foo. It was both heartwarming and poignant to see so many residents and cops touched by the occasion. When Teoh from SJAlert ran a video tribute, many in the crowd including our men in blue, were shedding tears unashamely. Our MC and Hon Secretary of USJ RA, Eileen was also emotionally choked when she resumed her role.
Such was the contribution of Tuan Foo. He had touched so many of us who had the priviledge to work with him, and to know him. When the cheque of RM10,300.00 was presented to the widow Mdm Alice Ong, it paled in comparison to a Cop who had contributed so much to our Community.
And so the final chapter of a great cop closes but his legacy will live on amongst the many of us who knew him. In parting, I dedicate my favourite poem to Tuan Foo.
What though the radiance that was once so bright Be now forever taken from my sight Though nothing can bring back the hour Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flowers We will grieve not, rather find Strength in what remains behind In the primal sympathy which having being must ever be.
Farewell dear Friend..
