SUBANG JAYA, August 31:
One up for USJ folks!

UEP Subang Jaya beats Bandar Utama and Taman Tun Dr Ismail as the 'Best Residential Area' in 'Best of Malaysia 2002 Edition'.

The top mark for USJ was voted in by thousands of MIX FM listeners on Thursday, August 22.

There are 15 categories in the 'Best of Malaysia' series, organised annually by MIX FM in conjunction with the National Day.

In this year's edition, nasi lemak remains the 'Best Malaysian Dish' while SS2, PJ Hawker Stall overtakes Gurney Drive as the 'Best Hawker Stall'.

Bangsar walks away with two top votes for 'Best Pasar Malam' and 'Best Place To Be Seen'.

Err... 'Best Restroom'? It's Jaya Jusco Mid Valley, not KLIA.

Meanwhile, Langkawi beats Cherating and Cameron Highlands to emerge as the 'Best Holiday Destination'.

According to MIX FM, the radio station will be giving away holidays every hour from 9am to 5pm on Monday, September 2.

The holiday packages include a 3-Day 2-Night stay at Awana Porto Malai, Langkawi.

Listeners will have to tune in to 94.5FM, listen to the cue to call in, and answer a question on the best in the country.

We bring you the full list of Best of Malaysia 2002 Edition. Print it out, place it next to your phone, and tune in to win. Have fun!
