Angry Harimau Restaurant (aka Farmland Steamboat)

Hi all,

I rarely complain on food and restaurant, but I would like to highlight this restaurant to you all. On last Friday my family members and I (10 person) went to Farmland Steamboat restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong to have porridge steamboat. That was the worst experiece that I have in my life.

First of all, when we went to the restaurant, we had to wait for 18 minutes as the restaurant was so crowded. Then when we managed to grab a table, we placed our order to the waitress. To our surprise, we have to pay the tomyam soup separately. It's something like to go to laksa stall and they charge you the noodles and the soup separately. Furthermore, if you want to get the porridge, you have to pay extra RM1.50 per pax. Can you believe it? It's really like buaya or harimau.

OK, after we placed our order, we had to wait about 20 minutes before our food was served. We hardly had a waiter/waitress to serve us. As the result, I had to personally go and get the refill on my soup. And yet they charge me for the service charge. The portion of the food we ordered were extremely small and not enough. We are not big eater but the food was really sucks. 10 person of us ended up with a bill of RM324.16 with quarterly full stomach.

Please do not go there else you will become their prey. I tell myself I would never step into that restaurant again.

i tried both Pudu and SS18 branch..
both about the same..
portion was very small..
and my bill usually come out to about RM60-70 for 2 person..
i hate their 1.50/pax porridge charges...

I rather go to tasty buds at sunway mentari biz park..
The soya steamboat, or Yuen Steamboat Buffet..

Ah-hahahaha, I second that!

For tasty porridge based steamboat, I like the one in USJ21, at the far end corner lot on right side. Reasonable priced, generous portions, about 18/pax i think, no hidden charges, the bill seldom comes to >RM50 for food + drinks for 2 pax.

Sakai, fills the environment and helps us to get better appetite with his presence around. Like that only shiok'ma must have people who can eat around the table.
