Hi just to say that DAM is organizing a charity bazaar this Sunday, 16th August at the Titiwangsa centre from 9 am to 1pm.

My son went through kana child psychologist centre at sri hartamas, at the early stage that diagnosed him as dyslexic. Alternatively, you can try the child developement centre at HUKM, Cheras for an assessment as well. My son is currently having his early remedial treatment at hukm. If you need the tel nos, do pm me.

Primary school-going children aged 6-12 years, and English-speaking are sought for free dyslexia screening at UKM KL as part of research scheduled for some time in Feb-April 2010. After the screening, verbal feedback will be given to the parents on the risk-status for dyslexia, but if the parents want written reports there will be an extra charge. Project is currently awaiting approval from UKM's ethics committee. Project leader, Dr. Alvin Ng Lai Oon of Health Psychology Unit, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, UKM KL would like to know if there are interested parents to join this project. Hi Guys,

Need some help here.

Have been told by the Principal Teacher for Special Needs Children at SK TTDI(2), where my son currently studies, that archery is good for dyslexic as well as ADHD kids, as it teaches them to learn how to focus with task at hand.

The school has been trying to incorporate this into their extra curriculum activities, which currently includes: bowling, swimming, horse riding, gardening ( within school school compound ) and badminton. They have been trying to get DBKL to provide this facility but hasn't been successful. Perbandaran Putrajaya can help but can only offer the facility once a month, whereas the school is trying to have it on a weekly or bi-monthly basis.

Would really appreciate if anyone who knows anything about archery activities in klang valley can point us to the right direction.
