For me, personally, if am not in a hurry to go home ... then I would get a cheaper rate taxi fare to go home. As long as I reach home safely.
Faster...I wouldnt say that it is safer tho...this guy was driving about 140-150 the whole trip, taking turns widely, yelling at the toll booth attendants...

Not to mention that we ended up paying 2x the normal cost.

Picking up passengers in uninsured taxis...that sounds illegal to me...maybe the police have no power to enforce things? I hear that DBKL cannot enforce traffic laws either....

Instead of developing islamic journalism centres etc etc etc, about figuring out ways to get the police and local government to exercise their powers and enforce their responsibilities.

another thing that the LCC terminal needs to improve on, besides the other known irritants, is a proper baby feeding & diaper change room. parents with babies & toddlers have to make do with a plastic, drop-down table located at the entrance of the ladies toilet besides asian kitchen. no piped water or WC to wash the kiddos. and since it's at the entrance of the ladies toilet, it could be quite uncomfortable for the father changing the diaper or the ladies using the toilet.

malls have this facility, in fact plus expressway has them at the Sg Buloh and Tapah R&Rs.

heard alot of walking required to get from terminal to plane, and alot of exposure to the elements. I don't have a problem with LCC terminal but as for senior citizens, people who are suffering from disabilities, the terminal might put up quite a challenge?

"haven't been to the LCC yet (taken off in a plane in LCC), but after hearin feedbacks i think i get the picture."

It's a bit far off the LCC terminal compared to KLCC, without any sign board i think i wouldnt be able to find it.

*not referring to LCC terminal but smthing else*
My friends Car broke down on the way to Nilai from KLCC, there's an exit to Nilai there (you will pass it if you go to LCC terminal with it). I though his car had ran out of fuel, there waS a petronas outlet located not far away from the Nilai Exit where his car had stalled. That strench on a Klang Valley "City Cab" cost us Rm 20.

Let me share some inf for transport to LCCT. Those taxis specially designated for KLIA are NOT allowed to take passengers to LCCT. They take a risk if they do and hence may charge you more.

Taxis designated for LCCT will can take you to KLIA but will also charge you more. For eg. they can pick you from USJ to KLIA for RM50 but RM60 to KLIA. Therefore dont take taxis designated for KLIA if you are going to LCCT and same for LCCT. The 'other' taxis can fetch you from USJ to KLIA/LCCT for about RM45.

The budget taxi from LCCT to USJ is about RM39. The limo is RM61.

I have made a few friends with some taxis plying LCCT and KLIA. If any of you need to use them, let me know.

OK, so it's not an original idea (examples such as Airport Buses in HK) but I like it

Go greenbug...you innovative, man!

Please also take note. Cars parked at the open air car park area .. are at your own risked. Good luck!

Only RM30/day. I thought it was RM3/hr. Is there a covered carpark?

There isn't any covered car park in LCCT. That's the disadvantage.

You're right, alexhay. I've been having this thought eversince the LCCT was opened. Don't see what the fuss was all about with everyone, including the powers that be, about having this shuttle and all that running between the 2 terminals. Such a simple solution. No need for a canggih system. Just a normal track and normal carriage, thats all. No need to impress the world again.
