So, in March 2008, Lee Hwa Beng (former-MCA ADUN) must have chessed off more than 50% of voters then ? I thought if you put a parrot/donkey against him also it will win March 2008 !! the tide of dissatisfaction against BN was so strong, no candidates can withstand the voters back then, no matter how good you are ... reason why Loh Seng Kok is laughing - or else he will suffer the same humiliation like LHB !!

Lato Tupai is my buddy but I will not vote for him becoz I don't think he will atend parliament much coz he will be going to Land of Smiles too often and go diving in Sulawesi and Perhentian and Sipadan and Ligitan and..... and even if he does attend parliament sitting, his speech will be slurred and incomprehensible due to intoxication from "buy 1 jug free 1 jug" promotions for Kilkenny etc....

Perhaps they should consider a GE in which the candidate is secondary and party, primary.

Why? We can then choose a party based on its principles and values. Whoever serves the constituents will then be just an executioner. That way, the system is protected from rogues.

I believe both are equally important. Sometimes the party is not always right, and these candidates need to speak up. a few good examples, I think are Kuli and Shahrir Ahmad. But if the MP really 100% cannot reconcile with the Party's principles, they should do the "gentlemanly" thing and resign for another election or run as an independent in the next election.

And just imagine if he is sober, he might be on the mark in many issue like make sure you wear helmet while riding motorbike unlike some YB who seems to be above the law leading his merry men. Korek?
And all make sure evrybody get punish by berani buat, berani tanggung. Korek?
Korek? Korek? Korek?

none of the MPs ever attended the full sittings lah.

Its the important sittings that count.

Kualiti mah. Kuantiti sittings to talk rubbish like ladies 'bocor tiaptiap bulan', custom to 'tutup 1mata', like calling 3/4/5generation tax-payers 'pendatang, prostitutes and beggars' and 'tak suka balik china or india' , like more interested in the tight skirt of AAsia stewardesses, like not-daring-2-rock-d-gravyboat, are not becoming of an educated/learned/respected MP.

Echo this loudly my pessimistic friends , "Madam, I might be drunk today, but come tomorrow, I shall be sober. And you will still be ugly!' ~ Winston Churchill ~ shalt hold the truth.

BTW, i digress...winstonC puffed & chomped cigar everyday, u tink he upgraded to be a LSD/chase-d-dragon/MX/Red/Upper pill druggie?

Some are member of the parliment, some are member of the ponteng!
I diaagreed with MP going for ponteng unless there is a important sitting or they have justified reasons to do so or they have been authorised to to so. Otherwise, it should be across the board and nationwide where pdrm and bomba should not be in Balai or Bomba unless there is gonna to be a crime or fire.

To me, I think Loh Gwo Burne as an MP is no big deal if he jumps ship or not but I am more dreadful of the potential 2/3 majority that BN will obtain to allow them to DELINEATE THE ELCTORAL CONSTITUENCY IN THEIR FAVOUR before the next General Election. This is the danger and if Loh Gwo Burne ever is a party to this happening, then I will curse like anything on him or whichever MP that allows this to happen. Itu aja gua mau bilang... jangan main-main sama gua....

I do wonder all these rumors about MPs jumping ship.. are they 'attacks' by the other side in its attempt to break up the 3-parties coaliton..

So, come on guys... be more objective in your comments. What is the point of blasting YB. Burne, when these are all rumors and here-say?.. Is it not more destructive than constructive comments?
