I think the traffic flow is quite bad BUT MANAGEABLE,you all must understand anything outside the school compound is under the MPSJ jurisdiction.Volunteers like Simon had done his very best to control but as parents also need to cooperate.Guards on duty is for the school compound only.Sometimes you parents want to park the car right in front of the school and personally usher the previous angel into the school compound.Sometime ago a witness a mommy park her car near the canteen exit and collect her kid from the main gate anout 50 m away and leaving a huge jam, then a schoolguard drove her car away to make au turn together with her little brother inside.Worse still she found her car was missing and panic,a good samaritian (that's me) told her about it.Know what she did - didn't offer a thank you but instead scolding and blaming her child on this matter. All parents should exit using the Shell kiosk or the mosque instead of the ss19 traffic light. But if you further analyse the traffic will be empty in just 15 minutes in L/hung after the evening session is over!

Jayanthi, I was told that Hannah and LGB arent responsible for Putra Heights.

Putra Heights is in MPSJ but it is part of another parliamentary (not Kelana Jaya) and DUN (not Subang Jaya) area.

Cheers, m

YB,

I just found out that Putra Heights don't have a Primary or Secondary schools. The nearest Mandarin school they can attend is either Tan Tun Cheng Lock or Chee Wen. Traffic builds up unnecessarily in Subang due to poor township planning in Putra Heights.

I really hope you can do something about this.

Regards,
Jeyanthy

Yup, not a chance - anyway LGB has covered himself with an escape clause - "... the opportunity presents itself ... " - mor elike NEVER !! - I can imagine him cornering Muhyiddin seeking an answer However, if I am not mistaken, Putra Heights come under Teresa Kok (ADUN) - even better for you , Jey - that lady is a REAL MOVER (get things done one!!) - try her instead

Jey,

Thanks for the info - wow, did not know that SJ/USJ is divided into 4 parts - assuming SJ (SS) is in another DUN. I thought it was only into 2 !!

If you look at Hannah's blog, she mentions these zones, so they must be under her as well:
Zone 1 (SS12 - SS19, Taman Wangsa Baiduri) - Theresa Ratnam Thong
Zone 2 (PJS 7, 9 & 11 in Bandar Sunway, Taman Sunway Utama) - Chia Yew Ken
Zone 3 (USJ 2 - USJ 15) - Rajiv Rishyakaran
Zone 4 (USJ 1,Taman Subang Permai, Taman Subang Mewah, Taman Perindustrian Subang ) - Roslan Shahir bin Datuk Mohd Shahir
Zone 5 (Taman Perindustrian Hi-Tech, Taman Perindustrian SIME UEP, Taman Subang Mas, Taman Batu Tiga, Kg. Rantau Selamat) - Keshminder Singh

So far, I have written to YB Dr Siti Mariah, YB Teresa Kok, YB Hannah Yeoh and YB Loh Gwo Burne. Can't find YB Gobind's email-id though. Hope someone will help us out. Points I highlighted were:
  • Need the secondary school in USJ 18 to be built (Gobind/Teresa)
  • Need Primary and Secondary schools in Putra Heights. (Dr Siti Mariah)
  • Need more Mandarin and Tamil in primary/secondary schools to be taught during school hours. Also parents are looking for school with strict discipline. (All MP and ADUN)
  • Once schools are in place, enforcement need to done to ensure that seats are given to children within their zone only to avoid massive traffic jams in Subang Jaya

I wanted to send this suggestion to Kementerian Pelajaran directly but I can't find a single contact there. Anyone know a contact?

Dear Jeyanthy, you are very good in this schooling thing but....you miss SS19
primary school where there is only 2 classes each.I think SJ has the most school in Malaysia sumore cannot feed the kiasu parents school needs. If you stay in KL like in Cheras where your angel school in KL town ,i think you go bonkers! At least USJ/SJ can reach your home with 20min but in KL......

TQ, written to him as well. Really hope something will work out out of all this... He was not allowed to speak in Parlimen at one time. Wonder if he has phased it out yet?
