Ha Ha Ha! This is getting funny. Nothing was said by Blue Jasmine but others seem to have tried reading between the lines. Same with AllUrban also read Rachelsj's but there ain't nothing there about her being Chinese or otherwise.... all the so-called 'liberals' showing their true colours, don't challenge me okay, I also read between the lines of your between the lines...

From what you have described, it sounds like a typical lovers' spat to me. This is why I wanted to know what is the fuss you are raising here? What they argue is their business. All couples argue one time or another. Does that warrant you calling the police or does that give you an excuse to be a busybody? Since you dont know them both, why are you so kaypoh? Until you have to open a thread in a public forum to "ponder" this? Remember, all I did was ask you questions. I didn't call you a racist. But from the way you have over-reacted by being over defensive, I think its plainly obvious to see that you are a racist. The reason is you haven't answered my questions but claimed that me and Tupai had whacked you from "behind"? First you described the man as African, then you described the lady as Chinese. Then after describing the "happenings" you went on and asked this question; Quote:
Also....why need to kaypoh so much? Almost every couple argue, you want to call the police? Why dont you learn to mind your own business? Also trying to exaggerate the whole thing to make your "busibodyness" seem justified? Calling it "domestic violence" or "harassment"? If you are going to rant and rave about all this, you should keep this inside the recesses of your racist mind and not spew your filth all over a public foum. Quote:
Yes, I think tupai is right after all.

Me angry? I'm just cool. Thanks for reminding me the reason not to argue with you...
Also everyone can see thru your racist ramblings called "something to ponder" which you could not defend with logic when confronted. That is why you had to make angry remarks and outbursts. Because your true position is exposed for all to see. Like I advised you, should keep your racist ramblings inside your racist mind and not open up a racist thread and thereby showing everyone what a low-class low mentality you are. Yeah, I gues there is nothing more for me to add. Otherwise I cannot live by my own signature. Should you continue this tirade and find me not responding in kind, the answer could be found in my signature. ![]()

I do not see any racism in Blue Jasmine's posts.
And for the ultra-liberals, there is a thin line between racism and pragmatism. Everybody is a racist at one time or another. And it has nothing to do with the colour of the skin.

Well Chang maybe I did break the rules, and I have no problem with that banana. However, I stand by what I said. Allow me to justify how I arrived at this conclusion.
Quote:
First off the thread title of something to ponder on shows there is a point being pondered, which can be found on the last sentence which is this “wouldn't it be better just to stick on same true friends”. The whole story is about an African man who seems to have a little excited (albeit loud) exchange with his companion. And after realizing they are being heard, hushed down his tone. Now, even though the construct of that sentence is bad grammatically and shows a poor command of the English language, it fails to hide the racial undertone associated with it. The question of “what did the Chinese girl...” shows a racial slant because the same question can also be asked like this “What did this girl....” which shows racial neutrality. Its already been emphasized that the parties to the incident happens to be an African man and Chinese lady.. so the repeat and emphasis of that question “what did that Chinese girl...” unmistakably denotes that the whole question is having to do with racial undertone rather than that “cock& bull” story of men treating women badly etc... which was later concocted as a defence when the true position was exposed. Secondly the last question seems to confirm the racial undertone of the first question.... which is “wouldn't it be better just to stick on same true friends”... Now if the preceding question and the whole story is about one African man and one Chinese girl...what would the word “same” here mean? In other words it carries the same meaning as saying “wouldn’t it be better to stick with same race friends”. What else could the word “same” here denote when the preceding question is emphasized on the racial makeup of the parties? Now further confirmations can be had by other means as well; 1. No one accused her of being a racist since all I wanted was clarifications by questioning “what is meant by that sentence”. But the reaction was denial of the word “racist”. Why deny something when no one has accused you in the first place? Feeling guilty so fast? 2. Tupai was immediate in his reaction when he read the whole thing and everyone knows he is blunt and straightforward. He calls a spade a spade. Notice that he could see that what was written were indeed inappropriate, thus his calling “a shallow bias bigot”. Which means that someone could immediately see that something is amiss with what’s implied. I am certainly not the only one. 3. Look at the described situation, what do you find that can be so criminal in nature that someone should ponder “why the Chinese lady should stick with him”? It seems like over “dramatisation”. Does this even justify calling the cops over... just because an African man asked “What are you doing outside there?” Everyone knows all couples argue, why pick on this couple in particular? What is so wrong in a couple arguing? 4. Why ponder ““wouldn’t it be better to stick with same true friends”. What does the word “same” here denote? Cannot be same gender, because that will be even more nonsensical. Since there was an emphasis on race on the question preceding the “pondering” question, it follows that the “same” here could only mean race. Besides it’s already been asked a few times for her to explain that sentence and she failed to do so simply because it is indefensible. Just thought that I should explain this a little. ![]()

And I suppose opening a thread with a racist undertone is not breaking the rules?

Sorry, Jey, to take away the thread and deprive you (or others) a chance for any last words. No sir, I try my best not to make judgement upon any posts. I cannot accuse her of being racist just because she chose to include specific details of the 2 person's race and sex in the description. Some of you chose to 'read between the lines' and thus pass judgement about her outlook. I chose to see the positive side of people. Even in your case, I see a positive side of your post because you have made people think in politically correct ways in the future when they post. I hope we all learn from this ... but alas, under our rules which prohibits flamming and arguments on the Forum, I need to close this
