Kwchang did come to the book x change and sumore took the photo and paste it in this thread. And the non USJ resident like Sentinel even contributed the books. Non book reader except comics ( if you consider ultraman to be books ) Tupai yang pandai melompat dan motorcross also came and brought along his family here .
I dont think Jan initially wanted to have the chicken here but was dismayed and up in guess or gasess that he posted that he is sponsoring the chicken for next week book x change event.
He and Mwong was trying to respond to the feebacks in this thread and do something about it because they thought people would come in droves with this many replies and hits. It is fortunate to say the least, the x change did not take place at the secluded Balai USJ.
Me, luckily for the fund manager like Jan who felt frustrated and donated the 2 ayams, otherwise I might get into monkey rage and offered baked stuffed turkey in wrapped up banana leaves.

Just a reminder that the next Bk Exchange Club meeting will be held this Sunday, 13/12 at Zinglicious at 4:00pm.

You can see a list of books available which I have posted in the BOOK CORNER section. Even if you do not have any books to exchange at the moment, you are still welcome to pick up a book or two that you would like to take home to read.

In addition to the list, there will be a number of Enid Blyton's books which you can borrow or to do an exchange.

For romance books reader, I have books from Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Nalini Singh, Kresley Cole, Alyssa Day etc. from my personal collection which I am willing to lend out. Let me know the titles and I'll bring them.

Thanks again, tan_r. That's really generous of you. I've enjoyed the Lee Child book that you've recommended and am looking forward to reading more from this author. Hope you will be back on time and is able to join us for tomorrow session.

Kwchang, spring cleaning can still be done and what better way to end the day by rewarding yourself & your wife with a meal out, say at Zinglicious? No need to cook lah after a tiring day of cleaning.

AllUrban, thank you. Will buy you a cuppa at Zinglicious anytime you are free to drop by.

One was served under the courtesy of Jan because so few forumers came. He tau pau the other one. Two others would be given to old folks home and orphange this week which is under the courtesy of Sentinel with the friend of Glenfidich.
Big ayam, right? That is why I aptly named it as Big Stuffed Chicken - there are weight 2.5kg up! That one that you ate was about 2.8kg!
Yep, Mr Teoh from Sj echo came and took pictures of the book X change. It would be out next iisue and rated x because so few participants came!

With Ayam, Wine and American Vital Impression Punch which was good enough to be served to US celebrities like Alicia Keys but not impressive enough to entice forumers

Mwong said readiing and exchange books are splendid idea especially the teens, Jan questioned why people talk onlywhile Tupai said NATO among the forumers. Me? Still blurred about what is happening especially with the wine and beers. Hic* Hic*
Because of this and the x mas , the x change would be resumed next year! And I am making a new year resolution to read more instead of drink more.

It has not been a total loss as I see it. Every meeting that we have, more people got to know about it when we talked to them. As I see it, it may have been slow moving but still a small step forward.

We got to know each other, have good food, drinks and interesting conversations. Don't know about you, but I have read and am looking forward to reading more good books that I have exchanged.

For the last meeting, we have been talking about ways of bringing more awareness of the existence of this book exchange club to the community. Hopefully, what we will do will help to generate more participation. Do feel free to give us your suggestion/s.

The next meeting will be held in January 2010. If you have any books that you wish to contribute, you can drop them at Zinglicious or pm me to arrange for collection. Thank you.

It is one fine example of giving and receiving ten folds of what we have given.

Hello again everyone and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you.

We will be having our 1st Bk Exchange for 2010 this Sunday, 10th January at 4:00pm-6:00pm. Venue: Zinglicious, Wisma Dicor, Jalan SS 17/1A Subang Jaya.

There are still lots of good books to be exchanged and we truly hope to see these books going to new owners to be read and shared. It always make me happy to see someone taking a book home to read and it pains me to see the remaining same books at every Xchange.

We will be happy for you to come and bring home a book even you don't have any to exchange at the moment.

On another note, this Res's Bk Xch club which was mentioned in the January issue of Sj Echo has given it more exposure. There have been emails requesting for more info. and offers of books. We have Tupai to thank for his brilliant idea in introducing us to SJ Echo.

See you all this Sunday...
