The Rat Race Part IIIB - The Circle
We have read earlier articles here:
Part I of the Rat Race was just a wake-up call. http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/uplo...ead.php?t=22431 here: Part II - The System describes the Rat Race itself http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/uplo...ead.php?t=22444 and here: Part IIIA - How The System Works? http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/uplo...ead.php?t=22474 Here is the next part: Part IIIB – The Circle http://www.malaysia-today.net/2008/content/view/3355/1/ It describes the mental model of a Circle and how we can play a game to understand it better. We will examine the various mental techniques used to condition us into conformity and compliance. A favourite tactic is the use of double-speak or hypocrisy. We can see it daily in the papers or on TV. The important thing for us is to be able to recognize it and put up a mental screen to protect ourselves. Society is getting more sophisticated and the effectiveness of this method is getting less. But old habits die hard. So we continue to see our politicians resorting to this worn-out trick. |

How paper is used to trap us in the Rat Race
We spoke about how paper money was created to trap us in the Rat Race. This article explains the history of the USD and its relationship with gold. Since the USD is the global reserve currency, its future has very important implications for us.
The prediction is that the USD and the US economy will crash. The gold price will react by shooting up. Some are saying by 70%, some by 500%. No one really knows, because money is backed by confidence only and when people lose confidence in a dollar note and there is panic, we can't predict the outcome. This is a very important article that you may want to file for future reference. http://www.goldensextant.com/ Gold, The Supremes, and UFOs |

The Great Depression
Because of excessive greed by the financial class, a very unstable situation has been created that can cause a collapse of the economy and a depression. This has never happened in our lifetime but that doesn't mean it won't happen.
Watch the US financial system very carefully. A breakdown could mean a breakdown of the Rat Race system also. http://www.drschoon.com/articles%5C...tDepression.pdf Think carefully about how you can protect yourself. Now is not the time for adventurism in business or your finances. But if it is politics, go right ahead. ![]() |

Hardtalk: Mahathir Interview Apr 08
Observe the body language and phrases used by Mahathir as he tries to wriggle out of tough spots created by the interviewer to corner him.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programm...alk/7358394.stm You can find many of his tactics in these two books. Animal Farm and Orwell.1984 by George. You have to hand it to him. This guy is a sifu. Not many people are in his league. But he is psychopathic. He has this need to signal his real intentions, even when he wants to hide it. If you were to read these books that he promoted heavily many years back, The International Jew, you will see many familiar tactics described there. Likewise, many of the techniques of manipulation described in these series of articles, can also be seen there. Basically, there is nothing new in this world. The challenge is for us to rediscover it. |

What is Ketuanan Melaya?
This is a perfect example of UMNO double-speak.
Tuesday April 29, 2008 Pak Lah explains meaning of 'ketuanan Melayu' http://thestar.com.my/news/story.as...4851&sec=nation Sometimes I wonder how come he doesn't choke on his words. I am so thankful I read George Orwell's 1984 |

Another Example Of Double-speak
Here is a good example of double-speak by the Ruling Class. The key to understanding their thinking is that they think the Rats are stupid.
It was only a suggestion, says PM Posted by kasee Sunday, 18 May 2008 By Shahanaaz Habib, The Star KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet had merely suggested to the Election Commission (EC) to not use the indelible ink for the general election. It was not a directive, said Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. The Prime Minister disclosed that a week before Parliament was dissolved, the Cabinet had made the suggestion, giving its reasons why it did not want the ink to be used. .... http://www.malaysia-today.net/2008/content/view/7585/1/ |

Learning How To Recognize Double-speak
Always look for the location of the double-speak by identifying the consequences of the action and the slip-of-the-tonque.
The politicians cannot help it. They are pathological liars. Their objective is to postpone the pension payout and to keep the old collaborators in place to support their political agenda. They cannot trust the younger bureaucrats who may not be so willing to fulfill their Ketuanan Melayu agenda, especially those whose eyes have been opened by PAS. Bill to raise retirement age to 58 passed KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 ─ The Dewan Rakyat yesterday passed the Pensions Act (Amendment) 2008 Bill that will raise civil servants' retirement age from 56 years to 58, effective July 1. ... option for retirement at the age of 55 or 56. The Dewan Rakyat also passed the Local and Statutory Bodies Pension (Amendment) Bill 2008. ... additional expenditure for the government although the amount has not been determined. Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Mohd Johari Baharum said based on a detailed study in 2001 ....... the move did not affect the unemployment rate. "There is no political agenda in this matter. ........ adding that the government would consider increasing the retirement age to 60 in stages. ─ Bernama |

On page 18 of the Star, Thurs 5 Jun 08, former Perak MB, Tajol Rosli Ghazali said: But if BN contractors are discriminated by the state govt, we will not hesitate to discriminate against their contractors too.
BN contractors? Since when have contractors joined the BN? |

The Rat Race Just Got A Bit Tougher
Civil servants urged to take part-time jobs
The reason UMNO managed to hang on to power for so long is that many civil servants, especially those at the top collaborated with UMNO. This is the price they are now paying. WAKE UP! All this nonsense about Ketuanan Melayu is merely UMNO's tactic for divide-and-rule. Stop this politics of hatred and envy. All Malaysians must work together to get rid of this parasitic Ruling Class once and for all, so that the best can progress at top speed and pull everybody up. In every nation, the top 5% pull the rest of the country. In Malaysia, we suppress them to make everyone equally mediocre. |

DOUBLE-SPEAK: DEFENDING THE RACE & NATION AGAINST WHO?
When faced with double-speak we should learn to ask the right question:
Defend the race and country against who? Who is the threat to the race and the country? All these hidden messages are designed to divide the nation. Badawi said: "Umno has gone through various trials and tribulations even before independence but Thank God, Umno is still strong because we have the fighters who are ready to defend the race and country," he said. http://themalaysianinsider.com/inde...re-end-of-month |

A Kind Word For Inflation
We are going to see in real-time how the system works when things go wrong economically. First the American Rats are going to get whacked. Right now, we are feeling the effects in higher prices in oil and food. Worse is yet to come. We should prepare ourselves for job losses, lower wages and higher prices - stagflation!
Figure 1 in this article is important to understand. Think of your wages in terms of oil or gold. That is helpful to give you a sense of your earning power. A Kind Word for Inflation No, I have not lost my mind. I’m fully aware that inflation is not kind to bonds, so offering a kind word for inflation is de facto offering an unkind word about my own business. Investment managers don’t tend to do that. But facts are facts. And the essential fact right now is that the American economy needs an inflation rate above the Fed’s comfort zone. Needs, you ask? Yes. Soaring commodity prices, particularly for petroleum and food, and especially in recent months, are an unambiguous negative real terms of trade shock to America. For those not familiar with the term, a nation’s terms of trade is the ratio of what it must give up to get what it imports. The easiest way to understand the concept, at least for me, is to think of the number of hours of work necessary, at the average national hourly pay rate, to buy a barrel of oil – a real variable compared to another real variable. The chart below tells that simple story. http://www.pimco.com/LeftNav/Featur... +Inflation.htm |

The System Playing Out In Real-time
We now have an historic opportunity to see the system being played out in real-time - to see how the financial system exploits the Rats and when things go wrong, to scream for bailouts by the governments.
.......... “One of the more attractive features of the financial world, for its promoters, is its ability to concentrate huge fortunes in a small number of hands, and promote this as a good thing (these people are said to be creating wealth, rather than capturing it). . . . Of course, the reality is that such wealth concentration is created by squeezing the rest, as is obvious in the stagnation of incomes for most in the middle and lower rungs of society. This is not so much wealth creation as wealth redistribution, from the many to the few. But what has made this unequality . . . tolerable is that the financial world itself was able to provide a convenient smokescreen, in the form of cheap debt, provided in abundance to all. The wealthy used it to grab real assets in funny money, and the rest were kindly allowed to keep on spending by tapping their future income rather than their insufficient current one; in a nutshell, the debt bubble hid the class warfare waged by the rich against everybody else . . . ." Now the debt bubble is bursting, with the anticipated real estate crash, banking crisis, foreclosures, and inevitable recession. “The income capture mechanisms set up during the bubble have not been reversed, so the pain is falling disproportionately on the poorest,” writes Jerome a Paris. Meanwhile, finance is being bailed out. What’s to be done? “The financiers . . . will say that more ‘reform’ and ‘deregulation’ and tax cuts are needed,” he says, but “maybe it’s time to stop listening to what is highly self-interested drivel, and take back what they grabbed: it’s not theirs.” Good idea, but how? The financiers own the media, and their massively funded lobbies control Congress. How can we the people get enough clout to take on the giant financial and corporate giants? What can we do that will make politicians sit up and take notice? ........ http://www.eurotrib.com/story/2008/6/7/84153/17279 http://tribes.tribe.net/politicalju...7e-bc150cfecba6 |

Sunday Entertainment
When things are a bit slow on Sunday, it is always entertaining to read the double-speak of UMNO politicians. We can read how they subconsciously signal their true intentions through their words.
Their laws are meant to suppress the people. The interests that they are protecting are that of the UMNO politicians. Their motive in bringing the soldiers on the streets indicate their belief that the ends justify the means. Home Minister Datuk Syed Hamid Albar said police will take action to keep public order and peace and called the public to boycott the rally."We won't compromise if public safety and order is threatened. So don't break the law," Syed Hamid was quoted as saying by Mingguan Malaysia in the Sunday paper's edition. He said the authorities wanted to prevent possible chaos and trouble at the rally that began at 10am and will end at midnight. Syed Hamid charged the rally had ulterior motives and went beyond protesting the fuel price rises. "The police is there to protect the interests of the people and I hope our citizens can read the intentions and motives of those who clearly believe the ends justify the means," he told the newspaper in an exclusive interview. http://themalaysianinsider.com/inde...d-hamid-warning |

Transport: Buying A Car
From the perspective of a Rat, transport = car. That is how we have been conditioned from young. And a car is our second biggest purchase item, after a house (which is another trap of the Rat Race System).
We have this article from Malaysiakini: Consumers' vote of no confidence against Proton. Jul 13, 08 12:56pm Proton's highly publicised campaign to hike sales appears to have hit a road block, with drivers saying they will snub the national carmaker in favour of foreign models. http://malaysiakini.com/news/86025 Fundamentally, it is a matter of branding. In the public's eyes, PROTON = UMNO UMNO = PROTON. Both brands stink. So it is better to put PROTON to sleep so that we won't be burdened any further with those onerous duties on imported vehicles that are imposed to protect PROTON. As a Rat, it is in our long-term interest to kill off PROTON as it is one of the tools of the Ruling Class to exploit us. If we want to achieve financial independence, it is better not to have a car initially and save the money for investment. But in Malaysia, we hit another roadblock. Public transportation is deliberately kept inefficient to force us to buy cars - which generates a lot of revenue for the Govt. Watch this space. We will be coming up soon with a proposal for the Klang Valley Transportation System. |
