Friends, another day with high adrenalin level !!

I kena compound parking early this week despite displaying the ticket in on the dashboard. That blue uniform guy told me that dia tak nampak itu ticket. I believe I had properly placed it on the dashboard. So compound was issued RM80.

Went to MPSJ, that perompuan kata I kena bayar juga itu saman. I showed her the proof of the ticket, valid another 1 hour 4 minutes when the compound was issued. I have paid for the parking, now some more kena saman.

What do u suggest?

I feel like going to court and ask them to proof that my ticket was not visible

If you've absolute proof your ticket is valid..take them to court because they'll do the same thing if you're in the wrong!. Being the authority they are..it DOESN'T mean they're always in the right. Jangan kasi muka!.

I got stuck in similar case with MBPJ years ago. They reduced the compound to RM 10 and I still have to pay.

If you're in the right, you're still being insisted to pay fine (regardless however small the amount)..doesn't make any sense does it?.. mana logik?
Something in the law is certainly WRONG!...cost for the fler walking the streets?, admin fees?, price for the saman sheet?, that fler's time & effort to saman you? or to promote the "Malaysia Boleh" spirit?... Tell me.
That's why its sometimes like this particular case where the LAW is NOT working for or protecting YOU..its the other way around.

Err dear Achee...biasanya...before they wrote you the ticket...they would have to take a picture of the complete windscreen of your cardi(pic showing the license plate also)..as a proof that...NO parking coupon was visible...at the time of their visual checks of the windscreen of your cardi.

Ahem...itu biasanya...but at times they can just plain...buat tak tau...to write you that ticket...even if it was...'Opps...gua tak nampak you punya parking coupon...jadi gua saman sama you lah...'

So...what you need to do is to see the relevant officer in charge at MPSJ...get him or her to show you...the evidence that they have against you...for not displaying the coupon around the windscreen of your car...

If they can't find you that picture(camera rosak kot?)...means they have no evidence against you...except that the officer at the time...made a poor judgement to have issued you with the ticket...unjustifiably.

Each month...there would be a 'mesra rakyat' session organized at MPSJ...to hear of any grouses from the public...hence it would be the right time...that you present your...hujah...to the legal advisory officer on duty...to convince him or her...in order to...strike out their ticket...against you.

Jokee....wow...that's really the arch-Malaysian....you get bashed and cheated left and right and still take it with a smile...

well, I can complain all I want but I still have to pay. I even talked to the the person in charge. My time is even more expensive than the RM 10. If anyone managed to get away from paying the saman in such case, please do enlighten us the proper way.

Err buddy Jokee...in this case...it is NOT about the $...rather it is about principles...Ahem...that was what Orchi learnt from experience...n Orchi did NOT have to pay...1 single...sen.

The ticket was struck off immediately by the legal advisory officer...during the 'mesra rakyat' session...when Orchi showed...CONCRETE proof that a MONTHLY parking coupon was attached to the windscreen of Orchi's punya...cardi on the day that her officer...decided to go 'buta' when he claimed that he never saw that MONTHLY parking coupon that was stucked on the windscreen of Orchi's punya...cardi.

Oh btw buddies...for your additional infos...the MONTHLY parking coupon is available for sale with MPSJ's counter...at $80 per MONTH...niah.

No time to go? No problem - send your explanation in writing to MBPJ with a copy of the evidence. Of course, be factual and respectful. You could also state where you displayed the receipt.

While it will be easy for the officers to say "still have to pay a minimal amount", it is different if they have to put this in writing.

I received a positive waiver once - for not displaying (or even purchasing) any ticket.

why dont u post a picture of the parking summon and your valid ticket in this forum and then write to MPSJ to take a look.

I like the idea of putting it in writing.

Very easy bro. Just shout at them. Bang Table. Look for the highest position officer or see the Datuk Bandar in MPSJ. What is this. FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT!!!!!! Ask them your field officer is BUTA KA??? WHY YOU EMPLOY SUCH PPL!!!!

You should not pay a single sen. In fact you should sue them for the loss of your time and expenses in sorting this mess which was created by them in the first place.
