    Ramadhan Food Baazar

Another holy season of Ramadhan is nearing and WE ARE TALKING FOOD SPREAD BIG TIME, BAAAABYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! My fav haunt has been the baazar infont of Apollo's in USJ4. But last year was little bit of a disappointment. The choices were not as good as previous years. Perhaps, some of you folks who are also into this ramadhan food baazar can share your fav choice, be it in SJ/USJ or anywhere else in the Klang Valley.

If I remember right, choice and number of vendors declined year after year todate since 1999 which I remember was the best, located at USJ8 (vacant plot at that time) where the present Bomba quarters now exist.

There are a few other areas to try if one cares to drive or detour.

1.Kg Dato Harun..around the new mosque...where is it?..further end of Old klang Rd after Tmn Medan.
    2. Malay kampung area at Sunway.
    3. A few areas in Puchong ..can't remember the area or taman name.
    4. Sungei Way area..opposite Motorola.

Anyway, doesn't matter to me much..less delicious food...better for my health. Break the fast, eat normal dishes as in any other day..
Outside food now getting expensive lah! especially when sold in Subang /USJ..cos they know lots of welltodo folks lurking around!..

Sect 17 PJ is a great choice if in PJ but can be crowded with UIA students as that's the nearest and best place for them to get food. I visited there last Ramadan and the food is very reasonbly priced (bit cheaper here & there) as compared to USJ/Subang.

Mee too, I was there, tapi tak cukup variety, and it was expensive, since no choice, kena beli jugak...the best I ever had was in Penang,....all time favorite!...unbeatable

Uh-oh! If the bazaar at SS18 is open as in previous years the traffic jam at the roundabout will be worse...... But I like to buy the food from that place. Another bazaar that had a lot of variety is at the car park next to the Tmn Tun pasar. But I noticed the prices of my favorite ayam panggang has been increasing steadily annually from Rm3 to RM3.50 to RM4.00 or RM4.50. I wonder if it will hit RM5.00 per piece this year???

Places like Tmn Tun, USJ/Subang and other middle to high income residential areas are obvious to be more expensive as they are there to maximize profit.
There are so many other areas where lower income people frequent and one can get better bargains there. Taste and choice is another issue altogether.
Well..didn't our dear PM sayz..adjust your lifestyles.. don't go overboard!
I remember spending 10 bucks or more buying this & that one evening, hmmmm..that looks delicious..ahhh..that is fantastic..Mmmmmm!...that's mouth watering!...hiya..cannot lah..this year...time to tighten up bit more this year!...

If you don't mind to travel a bit far the Ramadan Bazaar at Shah Alam Stadium parking lots is worth a visit. Too much variety can really spoil you when you visit this bazaar...
