Have you try running Knoppix under Knoppix Live CD environment? Just make sure that you actually do have a bootable CD / DVD drive. To do this, access the boot menu when your computer starts and insert the Knoppix CD installation CD, then boot up your computer via Knoppix. After finish booting, there should be an option somewhere to install it. By the way, being a newbie, why does this forum have all the IP addresses clearly displayed out?

    Cheers

A lot of people choose to run live-cd because this would bypass any virus or spywares as the HDD is not touched at all.

At last someone answers my query! "No" to answer your question. I'm just curious having read about it.

But FYI, strategically I would like to experiment with open source when Open Office Ver. 2.0 makes the scene after all, it's really the applications that I'll be using, the OS just being the operating platform.
