Best Nasi Lemak in Town
I am trying to invite the best 10 nasi lemak sellers in Klang Valley and some parts of Malaysia to Mont Kiara this September. Iy'll be fun to group 10 different sellers with 10 different taste in one place and in that one day, you can try them all. Proceeds will go to charity. Can I have some nominations for the best nasi lemak from this forum? Looks like you makan kaki's guys know your stuff so would love to hear your nominations and opinion on this subject. Thank you.
I makan nasi lemak at least once a week for supper. So far has not had one that would make me scream n shout but the van parked outside 711 in Taipan is ok, provided the chicken is freshly cooked. Oh yes, there's one somewhere along Centrepoint in Damansara, in a kampung house, sorry dono what road. Cheap and good, delicious beef rendang. Maybe de mamak at Berkeley roundabout deserves mentioning too, very fresh fried chicken and lotsa people to watch while eating, mostly Klang SYT.
the famous nasi lemak antarabangsa in kampung baru k.l. (i normally go in the evening/night)
there was this stall that used to sell nasi lemak bungkus with sambal petai somewhere near chow kit area i think, dunno if they are still there. (night)
husband and wife team that sells nasi lemak at the lane next to the sea park market in pj sec 21. (morning/day)
nasi lemak bungkus at ulu bernam rest stop southbound on the North south highway (evening/night)
nasi lemak bungkus at Jalil's. situated at the stretch of stalls at the back of the car park facing the sec 8 police station in pj (evening/night)
nasi lemak baldi stall in front of the 7 eleven at usj 4 (evening/night)
Daroos at Damansara Utama is quite good. Used to lepak there.
Also, a makcik stall in front of the Post Office in Damansara Jaya is good too. Have catered from her before.
This nasi lemak in SS2, PJ, opposite the police station.
There is this one row of stall, and this nasi lemak is at one end. Run by 3 Malay boys.
Operate from morning till noon.
yummy yummy topic
would like to recommend two tht i often taste
Nasi Lemak Cikgu in Kelana Jaya .. same row with 7Eleven, opposite a footbal field, sorry don't know what the area is called. they r famous and was featured in thestar a couple of times. savoury sambal and finger-licking fried chicken!
one more is the nasi lemak stall in wangsa melawati. from MRR2 exit to wangsa melawati, take a left turn then u'll see it at the junction before the next light. awesome rice on banana leaf with crispy juicy chicken .. think they r only open in the morning
will be pleased to be at ur nasi lemak marathon
There is this place in Sunway Food Court upstairs (behind Esso), I will say the best value lah. RM2.50 for rice plus sotong (used to be RM2.00 last year) - for that kind of price, can't complaint lah about the taste.

Sajian Wangi at Jalan Dang Wangi. The best part is the rice!
You guys think we should invite Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa @ kampung baru?
hi stanmech, yeah agree Warung Muhibbah, very nice nasi lemak ayam and sotong, i bet cant find 1 in KL. Visit them every week last time.
Anyway in Sri Petaling (Near 7-11) nice also. Its a mamak but i forget the shop name.
The one from jln tanglin is fantastic - but very, very hot! Burn on the way in, burn on the way out! Best!
Has anyone tried the nasi lemak at the Cafeteria at Jaya Jusco in Mid Valley, next to the garden..you get a good aroma of thier asam lasksa as you pass by, my friends adore it..would give it a shot soon.
Tried both the assam laksa and the nasi lemak - long queue in the weekend. Tried once and never went back - average for my taste as I have tasted better but try it, you might find it different.
