I'm just wondering how it works, heard from ppl that it is some kind of network marketing as well, but it sounds more like a scam to me, because i couldn't even find its website.

Also heard from ppl that the you would need to dump in RM2,500 as the upfront money .... something like that.

    anyone has more ideas?

strictly for education purposes this is roughly how the plan works
you join at roughly RM150, you're just a normal member, can buy cannot do business.
the plan starts at around RM2300 at the level of Franchisee. That's the lowest level. You get a couple of lamps and oil, depending on what you choose. You can use it or sell. At this level, you also get to buy their stuff at a certain discount, can't remember how much liau.
Next level is about RM5000 or thereabout and you're a Baron. Slightly higher discounts, same stuff.
Highest level you can jump in at is Count at RM33000. Tons of products and so on. MOre discounts.
How it works? You sign people up and you move your stock to them and they move it downwards. THe higher level they sign up the more stock you move, the more money you make. Up to count level, you get to collect points each time you purchase products but you don't need to maintain. After count, you need to. That's what I can remember. Correct me if I'm wrong. AS you can see, I'm not in the business.

Hope I am not offending any one here.....

I honestly thinks that this lampe berger is an over kill and it's a waste of $$$$.

What they have done is mixed fragrance with kerosene. A simple light heated fragrance lamp with fragrance oils bought from body shop or even the RM5 shop works with the same effect.

careful man. heard of at least 3 persons who came in as Count and everyday still counting their stock of lamps...

think it's easy to move the lamps?

I was approach by some LB high rank sales yesterday. They had a plan to make you jump straight to Count level. RM30k to buy you rank!!! Anyway, here is the site you required, got it off Google

    Admin note -
I have removed the hyperlinks to the LB website. This is not an advert space

and how do you feel about it?
consider this awhile, it's not a bad idea if you have the money to dump in and many many friends who can do the same. my friend's mentor in the business sold his apartment and bought 5 counts thus making him a Duke (it's after count right?). but how many can do that? since network marketing is supposed to be a replicable business, how many can replicate that?

that is true, my dad even bought the products.
because my relatives were doing it. Frankly speaking its expensive...

If you guys are interested about new market products in malaysia, its "Network distribution" coming to malaysia...
    Try ... USANA health science.
its not about selling, its not about MLM, its something totally different.
Sombody introduce it to me. So i just try, no harm trying and its not costly. as much as 1-2 thousand.. , less than that

If you get to join it before it launch in malaysia and china. It would be a good $$$ cash in, ( for a side income) that is what i think.
All this kind of stuff, are not FAST cash scheme/ get rich scheme.
I think its more like an extra side income.

Besides cash you need to join is not much.
and the pay out is weekly.
look me up if your interested.

    Part 1 - Lampe Berger

Very nicely put by badaveil. And just wanted to say I find all your other comments very interesting.

Anyhow, I just wanted to highlight a few ideas to those thinking of choosing the network marketing career line (YES, it actually can't be treated professionally as a career). I would appreciate any feedback from whatever company you had experience with. I’ll start of with NW in general, then move on to my comments on the LB Business.

    1. Choose a COMPANY you want to join very wisely. You want to join one, and stick with one… This means… do you due diligence first before choosing which company you want to be in for the long term. Ensure the company has no previous or current bad records, the company should be there to last, and is managed by sincere and honest people.

    2. The PRODUCT is actually beneficial to you and the next is (for the feasibility of the business) that the product is consumable. If it is priced high, why so? and does it have a legitimate reason (maybe the raw ingredients is expensive or the manufacturing and quality control follows stringent high-end processes). Stay clear of companies that price their products or services high because of evident commission payments to associates (one way to check this is to see whether the product can be purchased elsewhere for a different price OR whether the company is the manufacture itself or it acts like a broker/marketing arm).

    3. When you join a company, you can only join it via a person called a SPONSOR. Ensure that the person whom you are going to join can support you and if not, ensure that the person belongs to a TEAM that can provide the support. It is useless for you to join someone or a team that don’t intend to take any role of leadership or support. This will not work out if you don’t have the support which is why most people fail in network marketing at the start.

    4. The final thing for you to consider in a company is its PAY PLAN. This includes all features on how to join, how much to join, how you get paid, what bonuses you get, etc. A very good way to assess whether the compensation plan is worthwhile for you is to once again do your research. This does not mean ask you friends who have failed or are just starting in a company because they wouldn’t have really experienced the plan. Search for someone experienced in the company or even seek aid from various legal and expert advisors specialising in network marketing to inform you on the various plans and their features and benefits or even get a hold of books in bookstores or on the Internet that talk about network marketing pay plans. All company pay plan’s have their pro’s and con’s but you want to look for one that works not just for you alone but for the team that you intend in growing! And at the start, this really depends a lot on the support you get from your SPONSOR so you need to ensure your sponsorship team is strong too.

    Part 2 - Lampe Berger

Having said what I said in Part 1, I want to highlight straightforwardly the disadvantages of the Lampe Berger business as per what I feel here in Part 2 (I invite anyone including current members of Lampe Berger to pass on their comments here in this thread so we can have a candid open discussion).

    1. COMPANY: Per the story told by badaveil which is the story I personally heard about Lampe Berger being associated with Bel Air and the two brothers – I personally would not be a part of LB or BA and I certainly would not advice anyone to associate with this company. I mean, how sure are you that this might not happen again based on the history or company management. Where is leadership found in this company?

    2. PRODUCT: I used the product before and I must say it is good for cleaning odours but definitely NOT to effectively help your health (some HK research shows this and also through my own personal experience and learning’s I believe air therapy is not really effective for health maintenance). The next thing is, this product isn’t consumable – not even the oil unless you accidentally leave it on overnight which I have done several times now by accident, but the point is, I believe people won’t purchase this every month unless there is some sort of financial incentive for doing so. Also, try searching on Google or Yahoo for Lampe Berger lampes and oils, you can purchase them from US retail online stores for 1/3 the price of what it’s so called “network marketing” counterparts in asia price it at (A big NO NO and advice to stay away to those wanting to join Lampe Berger for the reason of getting it at a cheaper price – you might as well buy from the US).

    3. TEAMS: No comments on this as for the LB teams I have encountered with are quite small and new to the business.

    4. PAY PLAN: I personally don’t find a compensation plan that limits you to levels at all attractive. The logic behind that is this, at the end of the day you choose network marketing to build a long term income that is residual (so that you can work the business for about 3 years and then go on holidays and do the things you want to do which takes time of course AND when you get back to your business, your cheques will be waiting for you – this is not ‘buta-buta’ money but money actually you have put in the effort for at the start (the first two or three years or so). With Lampe Berger, I believe their pay plan does not allow this to happen – true residual income for someone like you and I looking to join after the company that has opened for sometime now. The other thing is its unilevel properties or its problem of sponsoring unlimited people in the frontline (i.e. building width VS depth). I personally rather build a binary system that allows you and the people you recruit share it with a lesser amount of people (i.e. two in your frontline only) thus encouraging team building. This means, you place your additional recruits under the people you sponsor in your frontline because there are no more open positions left in your frontline because it has been filled either by your recruit or your sponsor’s recruit. A much more team efficient plan that supports the new people especially being recruited. Few other negative reasons include: Reason 1) The product isn’t consumable so people don’t purchase it that often therefore your residual income is majorly dependent on new enrolments only – threading the very fine line as a pyramid scheme. 2) The joining options to Lampe Berger is ridiculously expensive. I mean $30000 to join as a Count and what are your benefits? To buy at a cheaper rate and to follow a ‘system’? Don’t even get me started on their so called marketing system which is the 5 by 5 or whatever you call it. If anyone interested in debating me over the flaws of this system, I will be more than happy to but for now, I am just going to leave the system part blank.

The above is my personal view on the Lampe Berger business and remember, I’m not a critic of the industry or anything and Lampe Berger did not do anything wrong to me, it’s just that I really wanted to express this opinion I have been having something on Lampe Berger and I do not see why people can be so blind as to religiously treat Lampe Berger like a serious business when in fact it has all the flaws of it outrightly spelt. I’ll name them once again here in case you didn’t get them:

    1. Majority commission is paid to you through new enrolments in your org. – not repeat orders from existing members because product isn’t consumable – a sniff away from being pyramid scheme.

    2. Everyone ends up with stock that really isn’t required EXCEPT offcourse for the act of ‘sponsoring’ (which in some countries is illegal).

    3. Payplan not suited for long term residual income from repeat orders but majorly through new enrolments. Also, joining fees are absurdly high – difficult to duplicate the business.

    4. Payplan promotes ridiculous joining schemes (“Join Count and build a Big Business” – pfft!)

    5. Company really not efficient in management (personal experience in their attempt to launch in Australia – still currently shakey).

    6. How to tell good story about the company when the history of Lampe Berger between the brothers and that the story itself is so true and ugly – I don’t know how can I even let my friends know if I am associated with such a company.

    7. Looks like only the Asian markets are going ok. Attempt in the Australian market is failing per the numbers that is showing in current growth or let’s say stagnancy of its associates. Once again, a timing issue.

    8. Product available in US for cheaper and also much easier process to order and get goods delivered. Who say’s middlemen cost is wasted? The price of lamps and oils in the US is far cheaper then those sold in Malaysia and the other areas where LB is sold via network marketing. This clearly shows the price is marked up for member commissions OR if it isn’t, it is because of inefficient business processes which either way is a negative for LB.

    9. Lampe Berger is going to fall like the Water Filter network marketing companies (bold prediction by me but I believe this is going to happen like how it did with those “water and air filter” companies back in the 80’s). Not a growing trend… On this, I will tell you this is why LB speaks so highly about the health advantages of its product because THE DEFINITE trend today is the health and wellness boom and through ‘hype’ Lampe Berger is intending in riding this… Such a gimmick card played.

    10. The Taiwanese or Malaysian company is not the original manufacturer. I believe strongly that network marketing companies who don’t manufacture their own products are really deceiving customers… Network marketing is meant to be direct from the manufacturer cutting out the middlemen. Instead, in this case, the middlemen is DCHL and the members itself, and this is proven per the products prices (see my earlier comments on this in number 8 above).

If you ask me what is the bottom line story about Lampe Berger, I would say it’s a bad one… and my prediction is, it won’t be long until authorities really go under the hood of DCHL and dig up the dirt about the company and its practices. This is when France will take back “perpetual rights” from DCHL Asia and focus on its international western markets where Lampe Berger is sold as it should be through retail distribution.

I think some products are just not meant to be sold through networking marketing and with the help of the Internet today, the only problem of the equation with some network marketing schemes is the middleman not doing its job correctly…

    My Point of View

I am only going to comment on a few things based on the statements by bizalchemy. I am an LB Count. I have used the product for the last 3 years and only now i was given the CHOICE to choose to do the business or not. The reason why i mentioned CHOICE instead of 'presented an opportunity' is because it is fair to say that it is A CHOICE to do LB. When a friend of mine opened the plan for me, i saw IT - the Mrketing Plan, and how i can make a difference for myself and my family. Have you seen the marketing plan? Did you attend the talks? Did you make your statements based on them...or did you make your statements without even giving it a chance to listen first? Knowledge is always good even though you might think it is bad. It's a matter of CHOICE. At the end of the day, who is the one making the CHOICE? Network Marketing is not conventional. In order to see it, you have to take a step to the side and look. Not seeing it with prejudice/preconception/prejudgement. Nobody can make anybody do anything. Only you yourself can do something about it. This is not a pyramid either as pyramid schemes are totally banned from our country and singapore and a whole lot of other countries. Plus, it's not about recruitments only. LB is a very very good product. It's not just aromatheraphy, there are many more benefits. There are other products as well, beauty products, there's going to be a Spa...and a few more things. One of the code of ethics in LB is to love and believe in the product. Hence it is consumable. It does well for me and my cold. Yes, the product is sold relatively cheaper in the US because of the difference in it's business nature. In the US & Europe it is still retail. It's not going to be anymore soon. Since it's retail...when you buy in bulk offcourse you get it cheaper. That goes without questioning.

Here again I am stressing that it is your choice to which level do you want to enter the business. There are many levels. The minimum to become a member is RM150. So? If people are encouraging you to join in at 30k....don't you think you have a CHOICE? To join in or not? If to join at what level am i going in? An investment of 30k is where you see yourself getting the benefits. I am not saying the lower three levels does not have any benefits either. If you really want to know what it is all about let's set up a meeting and i will personally bring you there to have a look at it. Seeing is believing. Saying things with knowledge is always the best.

Thumbs up anyone doing lampe berger? what is lampe berger?

I totally agree with Sabariah, eventhough I am NOT A LAMPE BURGER member but I do have a friend who succeed in just "less than 6 months".

Imagine, today you are looking at one product, let said a papaya. This papaya you can't buy outside within the Asia region, even it can buy in america online but tell me are you going to buy online since you can buy locally? It is not about the pricing here, it is about getting it at convenient. Do you know the same mangosteen you can buy at RM5-10 per kg here and sell at USD3 per piece in Japan?? Are the Japanese start buying it online?? How do you look into this?? Well, you can see they dont know where to look for online, this is exactly similiar senario happen here.

Back to the papay story, in order to buy this papaya, you need to become an member to buy this and you are having the need to consume it!! This is the most important part. All you need to do is become a member of this payaya organisation and consume at member price.

However, when you consume it and you feel good about this papaya see there is a market, you wanted to promote this papaya and make some small part time money, then you start to carry some papaya and start to tell your friends or anyone u met. Eventually when the sales increase, you are thinking off want to become dealers. To cut the story short. This papaya biz will eventually getting more demand in the market, and you have made the profit. Now you apply for the distributor or sole distributor in this Selangor or national area. All the other dealers need to buy from you now.

Think of this ?? Does it like a tranditional biz? Does it also like a MLM business? Yes it is. But what is the different between this two?? If you ask me what is the diff between traditional biz & MLM biz, one is being need a pysical office or shoplot, hire staffs and wait for customers to come to you and buy. ON the other hand one being mobile, you can hire your staffs but you dont need to pay them salary, it will take care by the manufacturer, you can talk abuot this biz any where, anytime and eventually you have no boundary to do your biz.

Do you know why people look into Lampe Burger product today? Let me share with you one point here which I can see the BIG market. To make money you must look at the market potential whether it is a very big or small. It is about the market potential.

Let me ask you this: Do you think the air quality is getting better or worst in next 10 years? If your answer is better, this Lampe Burger is not for you, but if your answer is worst, congratulates, you are seeing the potential of this product. The next question is, do you want to get benefits from this market potential?

Do yourself a favor, tell youself forget about MLM, think of this is just another distribution method and channel. It is all about Business.

I don't think anyone said doing business was bad or wrong. Businessmen take the big risks and make the big bucks, I know. Right now I think the discussion is centered around the Lampe Berger membership and how it is more about sale of memberships than sale of papayas.
