    Thumbs up Shabu shabu King

Shabu Shabu is Japanese Steamboat. SSK is located at this address:

    16 Jalan SS 2/63

They serve Shabu shabu buffet style. For a reasonable price, I like the fact that they have fresh seafood - esp the prawns, mussels and scallops. They also have thinly sliced beef that is real tasty.

    Comes with dessert.

    Phone number: 7876 1161.

If I am not mistaken, they open at 5:00 pm for dinner. The restaurant fills up quite fast.

Forgot their pricing though. Will go there again one day and update.

What's the difference between Shabu shabu and our local normal steamboat?

I am guessing: the stock they use is different. There's more seafood too. Anyhow, the steamboat served at this place is not really Japanese. It's kinda mixed up with local and Taiwanese.

i think it is still there... but the shop next to it already gone liao... if you prefer steamboat with spicy soup... maybe you can try out shabu shabu king kimchi soup... i tried that a couple of time.. very good... sour and spicy... very different to tomyam soup... but for the kimchi.. you got to add additional RM5 for it...
