    Mitv

    Hi all
Does anyone know when this station will be launched..not heard any news so far.. Astro needs some competition as their programmes are being repeated and its losing its oomp. I feel I am short change as i am not receiving quality programmes and below par. Some of the movies shown are second rated and repeated .But the information/doumentary channels are fine.

    TQ

I've stop subsribing to ARSEthrow when they raise it by RM5.

Changing ARSEthrow to MITV is just like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Time will tell and I'd loved to be proven wrong.

Say TAK NAK to unscrupulous businessmen!!!

    Good news for astro casualties...

Yesterday Malay Mail qoute that MiTV ready to take off officially in the 1st week of September!!!.

They also revealed the cause of the delay:

    - more test (same like prev report..)
    - new management personnel (As i know, Jonathann Chan has been kick off)
    - approvals from censorship board

They would hold a press conf soon so just wait..wait..& wait..

From what I've heard... the Govt has been getting a lot of flak for MiTV's entry unto Astro's turf. Apparently ASTRO was given a gurantee to be the sole satellite/cableTV operator by the Govt.

All legal stuff flying to/from TMN TEKNOLOGI to PUTRAJAYA

But all indications seems to show that MiTV would be operational next month... can't wait

Mitv is going to broadcast on sept 5. The PM is invited for the opening ceremony. Initially, it will be confined to the klang valley which will be expanded to the whole country later on. It will offer 40 to 50 channels from all over the world. The chinese series would include more than 10 channels which includes "jung tien","mtv chinese",cctv4,tvci, hunan, nan fang, hokkien channels. The fees will be cheaper than astro but the final price has not been approved yet.

this MiTV fellows can't keep to their timeline thus I don;t believe that they are going to be that great. Suppose to be 04, but now still can't get it to work.

This is exactly what I believe too. They talk too much and yet to show us any results. NATO members.

The very existience of such 'turfs' are the attributes of a banana republic. The faster they are scrapped the better.
    See you...

we need another cable compnay to compete with Astro. monopoly is always bad. Astro is only good for one thing: repeats!! who does programming for Astro anyway?

Astro has come up with this new tech SMS billing but hvn't tried it yet..didn't like it when i was 'fined' 50bucks(i think) for overlooking the bill by couple of days. But as I don't spend a lot of time on Astro, quite happy with the repeats..
