    From IPD-Subang Jaya To IPD-Puchong

I went to the neighbourhood watch website www.nwatch.net.my and chanced upon this piece of news which I have reproduced below as this is of great interest to the community who have wanted the newly created IPD Subang Jaya to be located at the 5 acre site next to the USJ 8 police station. Now that a decision is being made (just read below for the source - MPSJ ???) to locate it in Puchong, the IPD name have to be changed accordingly. Will someone who can shed some light confirm whether this piece of news is reliable or not. Until it comes from the PDRM spokesman, I still have hope that it will be located at USJ 8. But what if the news is true, what is then our stand on the food court issue at USJ 8? Is it still relevant?

Eventhough we hv actively lobby so hard since last yr to hv it in Subang Jaya, but sad to know that it had now been approved to be located in Puchong by MPSJ during their recent council meeting held this month, 2 weeks ago.

The new IPD ( soon will be name as IPD-Puchong ) will be build @ a piece of 8 acres vaccant land located in BK 5, Kinrara, Puchong to be implemented during this coming 9 Malaysian Plan. It consist of 1 unit of magistrate court, a house of detention plus Police-Quarter.

The jurisdiction areas under this new IPD are Subang Jaya, USJ, Bandar Sunway, Putra Height, Kinrara, Puchong, Seri Kembangan & Serdang. The OCPD is ACP Muhammad Fuad Talib, Tel :03-89484822.

    Pls be informed.

I like this actively lobbied part. wasn't this zone last to send in a letter against the food court.

why the issue of whether it is relevant or not. Like I mention b4 in a different thread, police station is what we must have. a IPD is nice to have.anyone disagrees? so if IPD is in puchong, we don't need a police station in usj 8? Sure we need one.so our fight is not wasted yet and lets not get distracted. We still want to have and must have a police station in usj 8 regardless of whether the IPD is build in puchong. SO Is it still relevant?you make up your mind.

This matter ( New IPD-Puchong ) did discussed & accepted in MPSJ sub-committee meeting held 2 week ago.Gerakan MPSJ councillor & Gerakan MP-Puchong also made their announcement in " Nan Yang Siang Pau " dated 23/5/05.

But from my understanding, the MPSJ will finalise this matter again in this coming saturday ( 28/5/05 ) full board council meeting.

I fully agree with Mr. P C although MPSJ got their power to approve but the PDRM should officially announce the actual location to build whether in Subang Jaya or in Puchong to clear our doubt ! cos both ( usj 8 & BK 5 Kinrara, Puchong ) are deserve land for polis station.

Will keep all of us inform after the full board council meeting.

Err...now Orchi is freaking confused again...MPSJ IS ONLY supposed to process whatever is being applied for n submitted by the project owner/contractor/etc etc...

Hence...in this kinda thingy...at this stage...how come political fellas or newspapers are making this sorta announcement...when we have YET to hear any news from the PDRM in the very beginning...?!

N...how come none of the JKP fellas ever been notified of this kinda thingy is happening in MPSJ's so called...sub committee meetings lah...or full committee meeting lah...or were they notified?!

N...how come nothing has YET to come from the ADUN's or MP's mouths whom are FULLY responsible for SUBANG/USJ constituencies...about this latest so called new development on the Balai or IPD issue lately...?!

Plans for SJ district police station

The Subang Jaya district police station will be built under the Ninth Malaysia Plan.

Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Noh Omar said a proposal had been submitted to the Economic Planning Unit in the Prime Minister's Department for approval.

Since LHB is one of the senior MPSJ councilors, he has an obligation to clarify. I agree that the IPD should be in USJ8; even it is not, the USJ8 land must still have A POLICE STATION, NOT A FOODCOURT.

Subject: RE: From IPD Subang Jaya to IPD Puchong

    Dear Robert Chan,

Firstly, I have not seen any minutes in MPSJ that said anything about this change. Secondly, MPSJ has no power to approve the name change. The power lies with the Police Force alone.

There is no likelihood of the name change. However, the site of the HQ may be at Kinrara due to the larger area. Kinrara has 8 acres and USJ 8 only 3.5 acres. If the HQ is decided to be at Kinrara, there should be an upgrade for USJ 8 to a proper balai too.

I have not been invited to any meetings to discuss the above. However, I have been doing my homework to try to have the HQ in USJ 8. The final choice is left to the police.

    Bye.

    Yours In Service,
    Lee Hwa Beng

And that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!

Deputy Internal security Minister Noh Omar announced yesterday that MPSJ has proposed a site for the Subang Jaya district police headquarters (IPD) building.

Sorry folks, the IPD is not in your backyard.

Your beloved MPSJ has chosen Bandar Kinrara, Puchong,

Does that mean MPSJ can now officially hand over the police reserved land in USJ8 to foodcourt developers?

Who in MPSJ had lobbied on the quiet for the IPD to be built in Bandar Kinrara?

Read the analysis at usjXpress frontpage.

Looks like there are some undercurrent draging away the usj pondok as well. Then a situation of what happen to Millionium big bird park may be in the next act. Then mpsj will give the final say to an unproductive property to make it ..err...'benefit' the community.
Let's hope that the above scenario does'nt comes true and still hope that the other 3 balai, one of them is in usj8.

Ahem...TQ ADUN Puchong - Dr. Kow Cheong Wai...TQ MP Mr. Low Yeng Peng...n most of all...TQ to our very own ADUN of Subang Jaya - Dato Lee Hwa Beng... - who claims that he might NOT be aware of this...

Err...n so...still no latest news about the Balai Polis in USJ8...from ANYBODY!?...

Ahem...n it's looking like the ill fate of USJ residents might as well be signed...sealed...n delivered to Puchong liao...

Err...perhaps what Master Yoda of the Jedi Council said about having local 'elected' government is a very good idea...to begin with...

Ahem...without it...what one sees is what one gets...err...all them talks of the existence of the so called residents' representations in place within the MPSJ...are probably exclusive for the reban ayam(s) sahaja...

I looked at my map, it seems that there is a road called Jalan mulia which cut across USJ8 and that can be built to connect straight to puchong just before IOI mall.

It is high time that the authorities consider building this new road if the IPD is to be build in bandar kinrara. It would make it easier for USJ folks to go there.
