    Yeah, Chang we got your message loud and clear. The current server is suffering from old age - It has been more than 3 years already and I suggest that we retire this poor fella. A new decent server with proper configuration that also provides high availability and easier to turn around would cost about RM 15,000. But according to Jeff, we don't need this Ferrari. The Proton we are using have been faithfully serving us for the last 3 years. Therefore, I strongly suggest that we pass the hat around and get a new server for about RM 7K-8K to serve us. If we are willing to consider passing the hat round for a RM 6 million balai police, what is this server? I estimated there are about 50-70 active forumers here and averagely one needs to fork our less than RM 100 to realise this dream. What say you?

    PS: Those who also post under multi nicks pay accordingly!! That is a small price for such benefits!!!

    Well...I think it may be time to put forth some positive plans to forumers here to work out and start chipping in .To have jeff n gang to bear all the weight without a murmur put all users here seems to be uncaring for a worthy community cause. With such wide base of expertise among the forumers, I believe there are, ready affordable solution being put forth to having 2 proton instead of 1 .

    so pc, what say you first man? have you started the ball rolling?? I'm up for the min RM100.Chang let me know how to send this to you/jeff. ex-Bananas pay more cos give moderator headache as well as the HDD more work. Ha! Ha!

    First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their appreciation of the site. Sorry, I would like to apologise for the long down time if it's not my hectic biz trip for the last few days. I was in the Penang when the system crashed. After that, I went to Singapore and now in Shanghai. At least, fortunately with the advance of communication technology, I can try to receover as much as possible while travelling. Psst..... don't let my boss know that I'm working on the server recovery while attending my company global meeting.

    It's good if there're contribution, not only monetary, also on expertise. I believe the site would be more better in future with all the support.

    Hmm... now I can really empathize with the thousands of drug addicts in Malaysia who suffer from withdrawal syndromes when they can't get their fix!
    One week without usj.com.my is like such a long long time..

    Suggestion: Jeff, just give us your bank account and name and those who want to contribute could just bank right into it directly. Others who want to contribute cash, I dont mind going round to collect the contribution provided they are staying in SJ. Perhaps I could make the round with PC or Chang. At end of day, we could tabulate the collection. Good governance lah!

    Err...it has been quite a long while since Orchi could last see any other possibility of agreeing with the source of these sorta statements...ahem...with some exceptions on the fairly recent 'botak' trees issue...

    Err...having said that...Orchi would stand good in backing any good cause with this sorta criteria being suggested here...ahem...nothing bad would ever come out from this initiative...

    Ahem...now where has Orchi heard these before?...seenoevil?...donoevil?...hearnoevil?... OR...could it be speaknoevil...?!
