    My dentist is in Klang.. on the road to Banting.. before the main Hospital , on the left after the petrol station.. just opp. Southern Park . Emmanuel Clinic I think its called.. Dr. Ngor is especially gentle and takes care to minimize & alleviate the pain. I am not sure about his charges... its been awhile but I need to pay him a visit soon too. I don't think he is overly expensive but to me the priority is minimum pain with professional service. PM me .. I can look up his number ;

Teenage daughter feels she requires teeth braces. Darling daughter's comment " My teeth sticking out like Daddy's teeth lah. !!

Question from Daddy with bruised pride :
    (1) Am I supposed to look for orthodontist or dentist? Or r they both the same ?
    (2) Any suggestion for clinic that does braces at a reasonable price ? In PJ State, Jalan Klang Lama or even Old Town PJ.

    Joe,

I'm doing mine at Taman Desa. Dr.Sara. For your daughter it will cost you around RM3-4k based on stainless steel. The braces need to be handled by an orthodontist. you can go direct to them or they will do locum at the dentist's clinic once in every month as in my case. I'll pm you her number. She is pretty good and the orthodontist is good as well as he is one of best in the business in KL.

I set appointment with a female doctor in Bangsar. Her name is Dr. Halina. An ex army doctor. People said she is very gentle and patience. I hope so. Charges wise, I hope not to expensive because my teeth really need a lot of workk. I will report back after tomorrow. Thanks for all the feed back.

For the past 2 years I've been a patient of 4th -5th year dental students at UHKL. If one doesn't mind the numerous weekly or fortnight morning trips and time for the treatment, one can get the best treatment or dentures for almost next to nothing...courtesy of government subsidy.
Current batch are onto graduating in August and newer students will be looking for new patients thereafter. Please never underestimate dental student treatment there. I'm totally pleased with them. My fear or any phobia on dental proceedures have vanished completely.

Why go all the way to Bangsar when there's one very good one in SS15. The clinic is Jamal, Lee and Rakan rakan, same row with public bank. See Dr. Rose, she's gently as a Rose without the thorns.

Cheapest and best? For the last 4.5 years, I've going to Bercham, Ipoh. FYI, I did my root canal last year for RM300. Believe it. It's a 2 treatment process that spans over 2 weeks and I didn't felt a thing. My threshold for pain is very low, wan.

I agree. I've seen a dentist in SS15 and she referred me to her teacher that's in KLGH. And, it's the students there that finally work on you but under supervision, of course.

I went to bangsar because I work around that area. And the good things about that is they are open weekend and weekdays till 10.00pm. I do not have to take special leave or what so ever.

I went to see her yesterday. She review my whole rotten mouth and tell me what I can do. She's willing to explain to you and answer every question you asked. Very friendly and funny doc. but a bit on the expensive side. A three teeth bridging will cost around RM2250 @ RM750 each. And implant for 1 tooth is RM6,000.00.

Do you have doc. jamal phone no. ?

Can we straighten our crooked teeth or clean the dirty tooth by the university hospital staff ?

What time is the dept opened ? Is it a special clinic ?

Goto Fakulti Pergigian, its the block next to the main building on right hand side when looking from Jln University. Its open Mon-Sat office hrs. Go in the morning. Register and wait for further instructions. Not to worry, you'll be in good hands..different departments for different proceedures. It's not like one-stop dental clinic.

Do you know whether they offer straightening of crooked teeth as this is considered to be cosmetic.

They are only opened in the morning ? Why not until afternoon ?
