1st class infra, 3rd class mentality

There is an underground water pipe that's burst in SS17/2G.

I just called JBA (77814455) and a machine picked up the call and mentioned to dial 8 for directory and O for operator assistance. Tried both the 8 and O and the machine keeps on repeating that I've not dialed anything.

Then, I tried MPSJ toll free nbr (1-800-88-5235). Similar response from the above.

Finally, I called Pusat Aduan PUAS. After hitting O, a sweet voice answered, took down the particulars and thank me for reporting. Hehehehe.... her sweet voice cooled down my boiled blood.

Now, let's see how fast will action be taken to repair this pipe.

Holly crap!!! IMHO, I think the loss is a few hundred litres per minute.

Err...that's very close to our other forumers' houses...ahem...hopes the burst pipe would not have much effect with the water supply pressure to the other houses in the vicinity...err...that much water coming out?...hmmm...perhaps would be better to get over there to do a bit of car washing...or outdoor shower can ar?

Hahahahah... fat hopes for a FREE car wash.
There's no fountain but water is seen oozing out, niah.

Oh... I just came back from my breakfast and saw a small lorry and a backhoe machine, next to the burst water pipe. There were 3 workers having their brunch, sitting on the back of the lorry. There were from Bumi HR Construction.
BTW, I don't have water supply since I woke up this morning. They better solve it fast or I'll have to go to a club for my bath. My clothes are also in the washing machine.

Hmmmm.... I wonder if I can make laundry claims thru the Small Claims Tribunal or not?

Psss... sstttt... it was aired for a few days, liao.
But, what's the use when the contractors are not supervised to perform the job efficiently and quickly. Sigh...

Thanks. I have a water filter dedicated for the washing machine. FYI, after 3 loads, the filter is already very brown.
Hopefully, the leak would have purged all the grime and we get cleaner water.
    Wait and see, lor.

    Latest update as of 2.20pm.

The was a water pump but it's not running. 3 workers were under a tree and one of them is chatting on the phone while pipe is still sprewing out water.

Hmmm.... mmm... I wonder if they are waiting to claim overtime?

    Oh no!!!!!!!!!!

This darn repair works failed. The workers are re-doing it now.
Yesterday, it broked/leaked a few houses further up the road.
And, since the refilled was not compacted properly, the houseowner's Kia Sportage sank its front wheels and had to be towed up.
    What's happening, dear PUAS?

    That, too.
It's already fixed just about lunchtime and my gut feeling tells me that the joint was not tightened properly.
