That's a profound, universal, tantalising, intriguing and thought-provoking philosophical question!

Strangest of things, why are so many of my women friends also obsessed with Football when I'm not?

And why are some men even more obsessed with Rugby and Cricket?

And why is American Football called American Football when common sense tells you it should be called American Rugby? Why does the world allow the Americans to usurp yet another historical name forcing true Football to be referred to as Soccer?

And why are so many women obsessed with Golf when Golf is an acronym taken from the original Scottish clubhouse with the meaning 'Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden'?

I don't know the answers though at least some of these have something to do with finding reasons to go to the Pub.
    See you...

The single most addictive strategic yet physical game that has in it elements of blind loyalty, drama, hope, despair and tragedy, as in the loss of the great Busby Babes in the Munich air crash.

The biggest tragedy so far is that despite able to break down all forms of brand loyalty and business process into miniscule compartments of logic, I still hope Liverpool will have a chance of former glory.

    Cessss.......

Better of supporting JKR in the league.

"Also sport these days is like a religious cult. People skip work for major footy matches, they gather friends family get a feast ready and glue themselves to the screen. They wear the colours of their team and go lunatic when their team loses. Fans begin riots with the opposition, and there have been many cases where fans have been killed.

Many don't know the time for salat but have memorised the match times? Some men have even been quoted as saying football is more important to them than their wives! Now this may sound amusing, but the reality is far from it. Surely there is something abnormal going on when a man puts a "sport" before his own spouse or family, and more significantly before Allah (swt)?

I don't know the Islamic ruling but personally for the sake of modesty and purda I think women and men shouldn't be observing each other playing sports. I'm not a big fan of footy but I know many muslimahs and non muslims who watch footy. One minute they're watching the ball next minute they're talking about the guys legs? lol So I think hijab of the eyes needs to be observed for obvious reasons. The same rule applies to men "innocently" watching women's tennis or swimming on tv."

Er..Orchi..first Happy New Year to you and all USJ folks...and er what a way to start this new year to say that women are already and becoming more interesting day by day to men nowadays....but still not good enough to stop menfolks from football or soccer crazy. To add to that, women also play football and are no less crazy football fans than men....

Obssession...he..he...gotter's been thinking why since Merdeka Tournament days we've been playing football in muddy paddy field type of football pitches in our country, in Stadium Merdeka and now in the ultra modern Bukit Jalil Stadium....that Indonesian's coach slamming us about the pitch in Bukit Jalil has proven one thing about our obssession on football....that we are an obssessed lots of football crazed people who don't mind to give a run for our money keeping the old age tradition of playing sticky football in our country. It's equally fun to watch the fans filled to the brim in Bukit Jalil Stadium roaring high watching The Kampung Football!

Err...Gotterdammerung ...you have a point...only the other day...PCYeoh couldn't insist more that these women are just as obssessed when playing the footy...n he finds it absolutely fascinating to watch a bunch of women footy players...fighting fiercely with each other whilst going after the bluddy ball...

Ahem...in the end of the discussion...Mack concluded that...err...PCYeoh was more interested to watch the former...

Err...back to the question...why they are obssessed?...gotta do with competitive spirits n..natural instincts lar...

Should be totally forbidden shouln't it? They're probably only sitting there for hours hoping a boob might show or something. Disgusting.

Let's forbid sports in our country entirely. It's a waste of time. People should be studying and working hard instead.

And, we're not so good at it anyway.

Is spam like this welcome here?

BTW the male's obsession with sports can be equated to female's fixation on shoes, handbags, etc. To me they all look the same and I can't appreciate the nuaced beauty of the craftsmanship put into them.

    It's a gender cosmic mystery
