    Re: Christmas plans???

I am going to have a open house on Christmas Eve and I am going to play all the carols UNCENSORED. Though this is an open invitation, I am not the government where there will be a free flow of air syrup and plates and plate sof food. Just PM me if you are free to drop by from 7.30pm - 1am. My wife who is a good cook will be preparing the makan and she needs to know how big is the army coming. The children are all looking forward to this occasion as they get to exchange their gifts but only confined to the children. This is similar to the ang pow giving but the cost can be very straining to the pockets. Whereas an ang pow can have a decent market value of RM 6-RM 10.00, we can't say this when it comes to presents. For those who are not participating in the gift exchanging, the parents will secretly place their kid's gift at the Christmas Tree and when Cinderella hour strikes, the child will be handed his gift by the parent as a surprise. For others, the child will just approach his/her counterpart and present the gift to him/her and gets one in return. At the end of the party there will be enough toys to open a Toy 'u' Rus in USJ 12.

PC, actually should determine the price of the gifts. That's what we used to do. Put a cap on it so that its not that straining on your guests. If the person choose to get something expensive then its their choice lah.....

Hehe...thanks for the offer. I attend midnight service like I always do year after year whereever I am. FYI, I go to St Francis Xavier church in Jalan Gasing.

    Silent Night!
The origin of the Christmas carol we know as Silent Night was a poem that was written in 1816 by an Austrian priest called Joseph Mohr. On Christmas Eve in 1818 in the small alpine village called Oberndorf it is reputed that the organ at St. Nicholas Church had broken. Joseph Mohr gave the poem of Silent Night (Stille Nacht) to his friend Franz Xavier Gruber and the melody for Silent Night was composed with this in mind. The music to Silent Night was therefore intended for a guitar and the simple score was finished in time for Midnight Mass. Silent Night is the most famous Christmas carol of all time!.
    Silent Night : Lyrics

    Play Music !
    Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
    Sleep in heavenly peace
    Sleep in heavenly peace

    Silent night, holy night!
    Shepherds quake at the sight
    Glories stream from heaven afar
    Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
    Christ, the Saviour is born
    Christ, the Saviour is born

    Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
    Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth "
