1 Kg of Crab for 15.90 at sunway restaurant

Hi,

I just want to share with you guys. There's this restaurant in sunway which is offering 1 kg of cooked crab at RM15.90 only. One table can take only maximum 2 kgs of crab. You may want to try it out. The crabs are quite good..not flower crab. Other food...seems good but not really sure. Haven't tried other food yet.

Locations.
If you come from summit to SJMC. When you reach SS15 roundabout(The one in Metropolitan/Inti), turn Right(that's 3 o'clock if you come from 6 o'clock). Go straight until you pass the Gas station on your left(I think it's BP, then Caltex) and sunway pyramid on your right. Then there are two roads..one going down to Jln Klang Lama while the other to a U turn. On your left are rows of shophouses(sunway Mentari). Take a second left junction(which you will encounter Macdonald's upon entering it..it is directly going into middle of two rows of shophouses). Go straight towards the end.
On your left, you will notice a restaurant with advertisement of crab for RM15.90. It's next to a pub call 11 Heaven.

Checked out the restuarant last Saturday.

The crabs charged was RM17.50..for each dish(Maybe it was more than 1 kg).
Tried crabs cooked to sweet & sour and the other
the recommended crabs wz cheese..made the "sauce" very tasty!
We had a total of 9 dishes..(mostly small size except the fried squid, which was medium).

The bill came to RM135.
For 2 families of 4 adults nn 4 kids..we felt its pricing to be moderate.

I am there just for the crabs. I used to get my crabs in Seri Petaling for RM18.00 per kg. I am not sure whether it's 17++., maybe the crabs are slightly bigger. Yes, the cheese crabs are pretty good. I didn't touch other food because I think they are normal only.

If you want me to recommend you other places where you can makan crabs. I can recommend you though. Anyway, my wife are crabs kaki.

You know what? I did order only the crabs on the first trip. As long as I got money and pay, I don't really care if I order the cheapest dish or kiam siap. Even if I pay a ice chinese tea, I am still the customer. period!

Oh well, I went there last nite wif my bf after seeing this post. And its true, that you will never get a dish of crab for RM15.90. They suggested us 3 crabs which is slightly more then 1 kg for RM17.50 one dish. We had the Cheese Crab, cause I see someone mentioned it here. Wanted have a try. Well, the outcome is, It is not bad, but not the best that we ever had. The crabs are quite small But if in future, we are looking for crab, we might visit this restaurant again. And I shall try the other type of cooking for the crabs next time.

P/S: They have a nice menu book~~ compare with the shop outlook.

Oh yah, something to add, I haven't visited any restaurant that serve rice in a "pot" where you need to serve yourself in klangvalley before. I used to it in my hometown last time. My bf found that looks funny. And I believe that pot of rice cause u RM3.00, which enough for 3 plates of rice.

Crabs is one thing you should cook and eat at home, nothing like it.

if you're going to Seremban,there is on place in Taman AST..good crabs. The fish head noodles is also good..a little too much pepper for me. It is right at the back of Taman AST, facing the construction area for Terminal 2..a new bus station. PM if need more details. there is also another in town called Seremban Crabs. Can't remember the cost/kg.sorry.

The other foods (other than crabs I mean) are really crap. So I don't really recommend you the other foods.

It doesn't make sense, a Kg of live 'meat' crabs cost as much as $15 - $18, where is the profit.....

now if crabby season, many crabby come out, so the price is actually dropped. But still, you can see those street-crab-seller or watever u call them sell at regular price.

And, they don't really give you big one. So, they still earn actually.

It just opposite Sunway Pyramid.

This area is called Sunway Mentari. Driving from Subang to Sunway, Pyramid will be on your right side. Head towards the traffic lights. Turn in at the junction where you see McD.
