    Re: Avatar

Click on "User CP" found in the blue bar above.
Then click on "edit avatar" and at the bottom of the next popup window you may indicate the avatar's location on your PC to copy from. Good luck

    Re: Avatar

Eh? I think you might be mistaken. As above, I gave directions to Chermaine on how to put up her avatar.

As for the coloured dots, their role is to indicate whether you are online. There is a reason for that. Some people like to indicate their messenger or ICQ links. Hence if the dot becomes green or red, it means the member is online and others who wish may message that person there and then becoz he/she is online.

I don't think you can stop the coloured dots from operating.

    Re: Avatar

kwc, there's a misunderstanding here. after clicking user cp & clicking edit avatar, this is what i see:-

    "Edit Avatar
    Your Current Avatar
    No Avatar Specified
Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
XX Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it."

at the "XX" above, there is a box with a green dot. i thot i hv to remove this green dot for me to load my avatar but it is this green dot that refused to go away.

also, in the bigger box, the "No Avatar Specified" cannot be removed. so pls advise. TQ

p/s read somewhere much earlier that the avatar must be 50X50 in size. is this correct?

    Question vB codes

    a small sidetrack here...

why can't vB codes be used for our signature as in "edit signature", the vB code is "off"?

    Re: Avatar

Anyone find out how to add an avatar yet?
In my stupidity I decided to try and change my avatar, and in doing so I deleted my old one, and now I have the same trouble as Chermaine... no where does it give me the option to upload a photo...

    Re: Avatar

Having investigated, I found that there are some inconsistancies with the avatar options. I have alerted our tech-guru to look at it when he finds time within his busy schedule. Please be patient. Thank you.

    Hi all!

Done! You should be able to upload your custom avatar under your individual User CP. TQ.
