    Save Our Balai my foot!

How to save a Balai for the Police when the Police themselves have leased the land out to the operator of the food court. Kinda ironic.

Maybe if we all get together and buy a piece of land, then build a Balai then we lease it back to the Police... it would help.

    haha, then again....

Ministry lists seven factors in crime rate ...

May I add another factor - when the POLICE HQ in Bukit Aman leases out land allocated for their own Balai.... if this is not apathy, I don't know what is

Is it an updated fact that it was BA that leased out the land ?
    Kindly share, thanks.

    Quoted by Police Chief

It was quoted by the Selangor Police Chief himself in The Star Metro today..

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Fauzi Shaari confirmed that the station reserve in question had indeed been leased to a developer. This, he said, was a departmental decision made by the Police Headquarters in Bukit Aman.

in any case, if the approval was done at State level, it got the GO-AHEAD from the headquarters...

well... blame the police then for this mess too.

MPSJ must be laughing at us for jumping the "gun" literally and blaming them for this Food Court "should I say" incident.

If that is indeed the case, it is most shcoking and disgusting. Not only BA and the Interior Security Minister have a case to answer, so does the PM!.

    HUH?

What has the PM got to do with this?

Anyone that is to blame is the CPO ( and I don't mean Crude Palm Oil) and whoever gave the directive to go into real estate... by leasing out their lands.

I wonder what next... Condominiums.. on vacant police lots..

Here we are literally begging for a proper BALAI and the Police does the unbelievable... and we all jumped like a cat on a hot tin roof! I just hope the PM takes the CPO to task with this matter...

    Cheers

This is what I meant, taking the CPO or IGP to task. Afterall, the PM is overall in charge of the country's security. How can he allow commecial benefit (of BA?) override the safety and security of the people?

Donno whether SOB took a cue when I posted the following in the other thread :-

Besides our interest, it's PDRM's baby we are caring for. Their promise-land will be taken away soon, therefore, Selangor Police should come forward to support us. Liase with them and see their reaction.

I was quite right, the Police is not a fool not to know what's happening in their backyard. Goodness gracious me, what a news !!!

This development smacks Police's duty & responsibility in providing security to our nation as per Akta Police 1963.

In every Rancangan Malaysia Budget, huge amount was set aside for Police's expenditure. Do they still need to lease the land to get extra income ?

Since the top brass at BA decided to lease the land, they owe us an explanation as to why they breached the following concept of " Neighbourdood Watch Scheme " as follows :-

    Skim Pengawasan Kejiranan
    ------------------------------------------

    Kepolisan Masyarakat - (Community Policing)
    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Hmm...very funny...

A place reserve for police which watch over the safety of USJ'an lease to a developer who change it to kedai kopi.

    My Questions are :-

    1. Why the heck police wants to lease it oh? Police need money urgently meh? Police did not get money from Garment meh?

    2. The duty of police is suppose to protect civilians. Not leased land which is given by Garment to build their post.

    3. Now is there a karruption involve ah?

    4. How many percentage did USJ Police station gets from the kedai makan? Is it same with chopping centar? fix celary plus 10-20% comiccion?

    5. What happens to the USJ Police stazion when the kedai kopi employ illegals Mianmar, Mangla, Yindo and etc. To take or not to take actions, this is the questionze. This will be a dilemma lor.

    6. Essentially, this case set precedent whenever or wherever a developer can leased a land from polis (or Garment in this case)and turn it to something. Perhaps in the future a developer will leased a land from polis and develop it to be a karaoke parlour with full on ahmoi from Vietnam and China. The parlour will be next door and indirectly also serve them lor as commizzion.

According to press report : The Selangor CPO said he was made to understand that it was pursuant to the Treasury's directive that all idle land belonging to the government be either developed or leased.

Moreover, YB LHB had mentioned " The problem is that there is no funds to build a proper police station now"

As it is, lots of bricks were hurled against the wrong authorities including MPSJ, Councillors, Politicians, Police and worst of all, the innocent workers at the site.

In view of the latest exposure, we should be directing our grievances & dissatisfaction towards the proper bodies ie: the Finance and Home Ministry who gave the green light. The Police & the rest are just riding piggy-back and being made a scrape goat.

Therefore, we have to adjust our aim accurately and shoot the right target.

It should unfold to the right target if we keep up the pressure and continue to round up the strays one by one .

On the thought of it , maybe we should all take a look tomorrow at 11noon to maybe 1pm ..a sunday lunchtime to see whether they are still digging and working through blatantly ignoring whatever stop work order that had been issued .
Snap some shots to show the whole world
that bolehland can have this happen right under the police noses .
Game for this ? ... Lets do it in numbers folks . We all need a balai much more badly than a gerai .

If you do drop by the construction site tomorrow as CCY suggested, please bring along your digital camera. Take your shots and send to usjXpress (edteam@usj.com.my).

    We will publish your mastershots!

This is about the most sensible opinion in this thread.

Allow me to add my 2 sen.

I am not about to enter into any argument where I do not have any answer but the fact remains that this plot of land is about to be developed for another purpose other than the construction of a long overdue police station.

What are we going to do about it?

One, we can all sit back and point our fingers while we bitch. Nothing can be achieved from this and before we know it, the
hoardings get torn down and the food court sudah siap di bina. Too late and no police station for the next 10 years!

Or two, we can all stand up, be counted and make a difference. And I don't need to be an expert to tell you that as long as we take that step, there will still be hope.

Take up CCY's suggestion and enter into a photo competition. I leave the honour of announcing the prize to JO.
