Personally, I found the movie to be one the best I've seen this year!
There was great action! The fight scenes were ultra-cool and the two antagonists(alien & predator) looked even more menacing and deadly.
Some may complain about the how illogical some parts of it is, but if you have read the novels before, you would note that it is NORMAL and not totally unexpected. . .
In short, I think it is a GREAT MOVIE! ! !

Saw both movies but couldnt relate them together.
The show is like video games. Where the monster dont die or you keep on killing them. Its a movie about monster. The scenes are so dark, most of the time you can see anythhing.

Frankly I quite like this movie but the plot is litle weak...there should explore more the hmm what that guy name (The leader who played in Alien) and for the 1st time I saw Predator have a soft spot hehe

Another AvP fan! Or at least someone who appreciates the movie enough not to condemn it as badly as the rest.

Even among friends, the response is mixed. Some say it is cool and other say the opposite. I think having even a passing knowledge of the history of both races(from movies AND books) really helps make the film far more enjoyable.

I'm so hooked at the moment, can't wait for the official DVD that's coming this January...heh to quench my thirst, I'm playing AvP2 online for now... Go Predators/Yautja!

By right we should see Sigourney Weaver and Arnie teaming up to kick as* in this movie. Instead we have a weak heroine and there's no real bad guy in this movie.

Well, at least the ending sets the stage for Predator's alien. That would be interesting to follow-up with.

I remember browing for info about the movie online and there were rumours stating that there would be no more AvP movies. This was a test to see of the massess still liked these two creatures. With the results being positive (mostly), Predator 3 and Alien 5 are being planned. I know not about Alien 5 but for Predator 3, they're supposed to get the hero from Predator 2 and someone to play Arnie's part. The idea is that these two get taken to a Predator world. They were chosen since they were the only ones whom managed to slay Predators. But this is all rumour. I guess we will have to wait and see.

As for the ending, heh try playing the PC game and you can see firsthand how powerful a Predalien(predator + alien) can be...
