My hubby used to work late hours during summer when it was the peak in sales.. i got sick of waiting at home for him to come back for dinner.... So i either travelled for holiday with the kids.. or joined him at work. Lucky for us.. it's a family-run business so i could go upstairs to the living room area and let the kids hang out. Any other time of the year.. he would be expected home for dinner before 6pm so that we could all eat together. All staff at their business who are not relatives, left at 5pm. Customers or no.. my late hubby always left promptly at 5.15pm.

See, even now.. the kids and i always eat together during dinner. Some things continue on... and i will never have any complaints that he was never home or didnt spend enough time with us.

Lady-O-Leisure. Sitting down for dinners is a very important togetherness for families. My family always make it a point to do that. Even if my mother does not cook for that particular evening, we would wait for each other to return from work and then go out to eat together. Well, apart from some rare moments when I have dinners with my boyfriend. When it comes to meeting up for a dinner, movie or just a coffee, he is as consistent as an out-of-order wind-up old clock.
