Green fields in USJ
Wondering if the existing fields in USJ were marked in as "future development" or "kawasan lapang" on the original USJ master plan. Seems it is the trend to target the green fields in USJ nowadays, after the USJ11 case, now we have another proposal to build a food court in USJ16.
Watch & guard the green fields in your respective area, a proposal might soon be submitted to MPSJ for convert the land to commercial use...

mmouse, when u see a green land, u should conqueror the land first, built a playground on it, badminton court anything but make sure it's for the community use, then when they want to built something there, they will have to think twice.

There are so many eating places in USJ, from USJ 1 to USJ21 and so forth. Yet foodcourts are being proposed to displace recreation fields. At first it is USL/11, and now USJ/16, the next, and the next, the next, next......? Are we forcing the existing shops/food stalls out of business so that they can turn snatch thieves or robbers? Or do they have the noble idea of rounding up all the snatch thieves and robbers, and offering them a place to start a food stall so that they will not have to steal or rob anymore?
Foodcourts may be appreciated if MPSJ can make 100% sure that there will not be any unscrpulous parking and double parking, and that sufficient parking spaces are made available for the clients patronising the food court, and that the premises are the sorroundings are kept absolutely clean and hygenic, and noise level of the foodcourt will be less than 60 dBa to allow residents a peaceful sleep? If not will the YDP personally lead his team of officers to sweep the place, throw the rubbish, clear the drains, direct the traffic, control the noise, etc. Top management of the original land owner should also personally take part in the clean up, because they are the ones who sold the property to private owners for the land to be developed as food courts. Last but not least, new owner of the land upon which the foodcourt is erected should be on duty 2 hours before the start of business of the food court and 2 hours after the close of business of the foodcourt to ensure all the above are complied with. They should ensure a 24 hour vigilance by having a duty roster to carry out all the tasks. If they can fulfill all these, I am for the idea of having foodcourts all over the places.
