Votes Counting
When would votes counting start? Which would be among the first constituency to come in and which would likely to be among the last (early Monday morning)? I am not sure if anybody can venture any answer but would be grateful to get some feel of it. Thanks.

In the previous elections, counting of the votes was done immediately after the end of the polling period in the same voting room / saluran witnessed by representatives from the competing parties. The results from the various salurans are then handed over the to the central counting centre for tabulation.
I don't know if this is changing this time around.

Though we may not know which constituency will be announcing the results first, what I can bet is it will definitely be constituencies won by BN and they have to be from the East Coast states. Logically, the first to announce should be the constituency with the smallest number of voters and the majority won should not be less than 5% or else there will be a recounting of votes. In the recounting from my past experience, they will scrutinise every ballot paper to salvage every vote possible. I remembered there was a case where even a pencil mark left on the symbol was greatly contested by the party concern. If it was a landslide victory, even the Mickey Mouse cartoon drawn on the ballot paper will be graciously conceeded by the victor. In this case, the best bet is Putrajaya.
But what I can also bet is that we Malaysians are much better than the American when it comes to counting of votes. The last results should be known by the second day unlike US, until now 5 years later we still do not know who actually won the Presidential election!!
