If a house is built with a Sewage/Septic tank, There should be no Indah Water bills. And every time when that tank needs clearing, the owner have to call Indah Water to send a tanker over to suck out the gunk and pay that bill.

If a house that is connected to the Indah Waters sewage, then a monthly bill. So if the system now backout. A tanker is needed before any repairs can be done, Who pay that bill?

The above is untrue. My parents' house in KL has the self-contained septic tank, not connected to any sewerage system. Initially the tank smells because the bacteria colony hasn't grown to digest all the sewerage but it stabilised eventually and we had an ecologically efficient system that produced clean water that can flow out. However, IWK has to come once a year to suck out the solid sludge which bacteria cannot digest. We still paid IWK bills eventhough it is a self-contained system.

If you pay a monthly fees, then IWK do not charge anything for the clearing fees. BUT a self contain system do not need annual clearing. If the occupancy is low, it can be ages before needing that service.

After all that hassle, it's the main line that's clogged. COST ME RM180 for the truck and 2 weeks of foul smell.
