electrotheraphy any1? Truly works Or Fake?

i passed by this ss19/6 place countless times. Each time, there will be a long Q of mostly seniors awaiting for something (?)... Curiosity got the better of me last Friday, an d i popped my head in...It is a cosmo goodness something place. Inside a couple of funny accented 'advisers cheerfully presented some of their stuff and testimonials, all in an environ fulla laughters and jokes...
Anyway, we have a space where up to 50 people with & without ailments (real or perceived) sat on a pad o-sort, for an hour. Seemingly this wonder pad, attached to a nicely designed box with blinking lights, sends electric current/wave thru out your resting body and effects a self healing process... Sounds incredible? Maybe Not.

I am also a proponent of body self heal therapy. My body is my Temple and hence my God lives within my temple blahbalhbalh. So God will take care of me who help myself blahbalhblah ..,but i dogress.

    >After plonking down on an empty seat, i kaypo turned left, turned right and asked a few of the sitters. Well, well well, lo & behold they claimed to have recovered or recovering or no problem now status! Their ailments range from incontinence to stiff shoulder to asthma to ??? mostly old people 'sickness' lah. Anyway, i seriously do not have reasons to doubt their testimony, hence by default, the efficacy of such 'electrotheraphy'...Of course lah, there is no such magic bullet, of 1 seating, 1 electricity 70Hz passed thru, the next day, Wahlao eh, U r cured! Apa???

Anyway, I like the amusing way the advisers soft sell their product. There is no money charged for any number of free trial u wanna go. I too like their simple analogy:
U sick> go to hospital> see doctor>Dr gives u medicine (mostly chemical) > u bulat bulat makan medicine> med makes u more sick with side effects> Feeling sicker > u got o hosp fulla miserable people> u go to see doctor> Doc gives u more meds> More meds make u more sick >>U go to hosp>>>ad infinitum...making any sense?

BUT if body self heal via whatever thingamajig? and also Viola! A room fulla happy cheerful people :-) apa lagi manu???

So my Q: Do you believe? Have u tried this cosmo thingy?

Theory where body can heal itself is true to certain extent.

If your hand is bloodied wounded with ruptured skin, time heals red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are cell fragments instead of entire cells. They clump together and form blood clots after an injury. Clots function as plugs to stop bleeding and function as a base for new tissue growth and recovery in the injured area.

If you cut your hand, it would not grow back again unless you are a lizard which has the ability to heal itself by growing another tail. Children losing thier teeth also have ability to grow thier teeth but lose the ability to regrow once they reach thier late teens.

And Guys gradually lose our testerone hormone as we riding into the sunset after 40's with the condition called andropause whereas Gals lose the estrogen hormone altogether when they have menopause or end of the Period. The riding ability decrease and worsen. Response time is slower and bones get weaken. Without the support, osteoporosis start to occur and bones get crackling easily. Just one simple fall, you may need to get a hip replacement from orthopedic surgeon.

Therefore, the elctroshiok or electrotherapy may have worked resulting as you said "A room fulla happy cheerful people :-) apa lagi manu??? "

Electron therapy or infrared zapping was a fad for the rich and famous in Hollywood many moons ago to shiok sendiri in some special clinics of well beings.

But for an hour or two sitting in the chair , there is limitation of what it can really do apart from placebo effect from my discovery channel. Just a couple of hours on your buttocks does not makes sense where "Hallelujah, be healed from ailments range from incontinence to stiff shoulder to asthma to ??? mostly old people 'sickness' lah.

Tune in later to find out why........with the following Honda prelude.

More cooking stories akan datang from the Land of the Rising Sun........ where 92 year old guy goes real horse riding, driving Porsche on highway during windstorm and he is standing for election. He took the cue from ex Jap Premier who is 99 years old from public office.

I think this is a slow-motion sales trick...

Once you are convinced or made to convince by others that the electric therapy is super-duper to heal all sorts of problems, then it's time to sell the electric thingy..

and I bet the electric thingy with Nasa-wannabe tech will cost maybe > 30k and more...

p/s : Yes, no cure for chronic ramblings be it electric or thermal therapy, long term medication or even brain surgery ...

Not sure though i googled their website and there is no mention of price ..one must call their helpline to find ot more about their 'health devices'...the same heat theraphy thingy in sjmc cost shringgit 20000 or was it 22000?...so, yes this one cld be in the 30s.

the individual testimonials by Old aunties and uncles of 3 races seem rather convincing. Of course, the advisers NEVER answered my question "how long it took the aunty to make sure remarkable recovery??" ...later 1 confessed she attended the free trials for more than 2 years , daily basis and even chasing them to new venues! ...BUT she swore by it! Can walk without aids! Can bend knees too! 2 years X every day x 45?50mins? free trial. Another uncle in the 70s attended 3 yrs..also chasing them all over the diff venues. His ailment? 'Prevention' ... Apa lagi mahu??

    It's called Cosmo Doctor.

A friend told me about it and I went to several sessions of about 40 minutes each. It didn't do anything for me. Either my "ailments" are too serious for this therapy to work or I do have any problems at all.

Prices of the equipment range from 10k+ to 40k+ depending on the package. I gather that this company have sold many sets in SJ/USJ. This area is a gold mine. And obviously this kind of marketing works.

Had a talk with a acupuncturist, he said that if that thing works, why would it be necessary for him to go thru a 3 years Dr course and a 2 yr training in China? Just pay that 40k, cheaper than his 5 years and ppl get healed.

I believe many people know the answer BUT they want quick fix instead of the time-consuming therapy like dietary control, exercise and discipline in lifestyle !!

and for that quick-fix reason, anything can sell and will sell..

p/s : the gym at my place is quite good and the pool is excellent. I have been living in my place for more than 10 years. From 1st day until now, less than 15 people (the same folks) I met in the gym. Others (young and old) come and go within months, none of them do it as routine.

Pelik tapi benar, 1 eye would rather die laughing to the bank in the land of blinds when he is diagnosed with an eye tumour instead paying of 10k to 20k or 100k for best possible recovery as adjunct medical treatment. Buying continental cars but save on celup tyre to speed on highway. iSayman.

In my discovery channel, I have found out that there are medical citations attesting to the use of hyperthermia with chemo/radiation on PubMed. Evidence worldwide shows that hyperthermia is effective in promoting the benefits of chemo and radiation. The accredited medical papers from the American Cancer Association, The National Cancer Institute (NCI) - the U.S. government’s principal agency for cancer research. The NCI states that "Hyperthermia is almost always used with other forms of cancer therapy, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy."

American Food and Drug Association has even approved an American microwave hyperthermia system to be used specifically for cancer management, which is required to be used in tandem with radiation or chemotherapy.

Many of these clinical trials were randomized and there are other papers from American heart Association and blah blah blah. Take note all these associations comprised of specialized medical doctors.

Even the Continental Germany automobile marque has been using the new technology. Thermal Oncology in Germany: The Klinik St. George Hospital in Bad Aibling, Germany, has treated 2,500 German and 2,500 foreign patients each year. Their cancer regime is a week of detoxification and strengthening the immune system with diet and nutritional supplements, followed by two weeks of localized far Infrared hyperthermia therapy and low dose chemotherapy. This regime has produced great success in combating various cancers. - www.klinik-st-georg.de

Of course , there are more clinical papers from the Land of the Rising Sun, but I would not trouble my eyes and time to translate from Japanese to English via Google translation.

But for those who wanted more information, you can PM me for these accredited medical papers to broaden your mind. For the service payment, Kindly donate one or two teh tarik for my effort and time to source all these papers on file.

BTW, there is still no clinical trials to cure ramblings with finger tappings. As long there are heart beats, even a sore thumb is not an obstacle. I am lucky to be alive despite many misadventures on my life where I believe sharing my discovery channels with FOC charity would make this a better world.

Everyone wanted a quick fix like faith healers with thier Chi Gong hand on thier head temple. Be healed and the stroke guy stand up walking without his sugar cane. Hallelujah.

In the world of direct marketing, faith healing exclamation sells. Hallelujah or Alitaubat as long as it bites your attention.

The mean old chef not only went to the direct suppliers but questioned on the various claims of thier
heating recipe and methodology. Two top line experts were so pissed off and trembling with my ramblings. The lady which brought me to the seminar got the worst nightmares as she was chidded by the upline leaders.

I always thought used car salesmen are the bad ones but these top of the line direct marketing guys beat them to it.

In good medical practice , there are no quickie fixes.

If you have a sore thumb, a good othopedic surgeon would not even chop your whole thumb or hand off unless necessary. The patients would be undergoing weeks of therapy of antibiotic. Even the Gynae surgeon would not cut the ovaries if it has endometriosis cysts unless it is cancerous at advance stage or possibly the patient is a grandma. Unless he has one eye to make down payment for that new BMW. One chop : 10K whereas One prescription : Rm100

I met my IJN roomate and was surprised to hear he had been there for 1 month without undergoing surgery yet. The doctors were putting him on IV because he has bacterial infection in his body.

The only guys that need a quick fix are the junkies or those who are seeing with 1 eye with mono view.

That magic pen-is a gimmick just for shiok.... In order for the infrared, thermal or electric shock to work accordingly, it has to be for hours daily and goes on for day and night. And it has to have multiple settings to the target zones. One size doesnt fit all and just minutes of single pen poking by the SYT advisor would not achieve desirable result.

Either you are thick skinned or not, your body is a good electric conductor. And it has both positive and negatives ion charges in your heart 24/7. Otherwise, you will die standing oredi.

There is a movie starring Steve Martin...leap of faith.I truly enjoyed that rerun. I love his phase that if he can 'give faith, in exchange for a few bucks'...why not indeed.
