    MY flood.

Penang has been hit with flood that has deeply affected local folks where it has had cause major disruption in city traffic though other states has been hard hit as well where people had to be evacuated to safety.

Whose fault is it or what authorities are responsible for it - Is it the state government or national Gomen?

WHY allowed and approved hill slope housing project in the 1st place ????

On 4th Nov, it was recorded that the total rainfall that lasted 15 hours is 315mm. Average yearly rainfall in Penang island is 2410mm. In other words, about 1.5 months of total rainfall poured from sky in 15 hours !! Obviously, this is something unprecedented .

    Now, let the numbers speak.....

    1. Penang island has a total area of 293 km2. Longest in north-south direction is 24km, and east-west is 15km. A very small island, indeed.

    2. There is one hill (Bendera hill), hilly terrain, swampy coastline, etc in this island.

    3. Due to its land limitation, the effective flat land which is suitable for housing is only 35% of the total area of 293 km2, which is 103 km2.

    4. Population in this tiny island is around 720,000. This means the human density is 6990/km2 !!

    5. Hong Kong population density is 6684/km2. Hence, Penang has higher population density than HK, only behind Monaco and Macau !!

Ayone still think the Penang state government has done a good job to reduce / curb / prevent over-development in this tiny island !!

MY Gomen janji Rm150 juta on 8th November to tackle flood woes while the same 1 promised to allocate Rm150 juta by Jibby on 7th November 2017 to Pulau Pening banjir. http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/cat...ation-not-new/

Not just in Penang island, but floods has had been reported in the KL federal highway and shah alam . http://s3media.freemalaysiatoday.com.../08/Banjir.jpg.

And more heavy downpour is expected to fall depending on the wind blow either to Malaysia or Vietnam in the next coming week.

Anyway, to tackle or migating the flood would just treat the symptoms and not the cause of the flood. Over development is the main cause of flood with tree cutting and hills being chopped off.

It is all Prince Charles's fault of bringing Camilla to penang.....

Read this piece of history that was classified in the Brit museum..

4 years ago Prince Charles decided to take up walking every day. At the same street corner he passed a hooker standing there every day. He learned to brace himself as he approached her for what was almost certain to follow. “One hundred and fifty pounds!” she’d shout. “No! Five pounds!” He said from the side of his mouth, just to shut her up. This ritual between him and the hooker became a daily occurrence. She would yell, “One hundred and Fifty pounds!” He’d yell back, “Five pounds!”

One day, Camilla decided to accompany Charles. As the couple neared the hooker’s corner, Prince Charles realised she’d bark her 150 offer and Camilla would wonder what he’d really been doing on all his past outings. He figured he’d better have a good explanation for this. As they neared the hooker’s corner he became even more apprehensive than usual. Sure enough, there she stood. He tried to avoid eye contact as she watched the pair pass. Then, the hooker yelled: “See what you get for five pounds, you tight bastard!”......
