Abnormal values for the restingankle-brachial index*are 0.9 or lower and 1.40 or higher. If the*ABI*is 0.91 to 1.00, it is considered borderline abnormal. Abnormal values might mean you have a higher chance of having narrowed arteries in other parts of your body.

The*normal range*for the*ankle-brachial index*is between 0.90 and 1.30. An*index*under 0.90 means that blood is having a hard time getting to the legs and feet: 0.41 to 0.90 indicates mild to moderate peripheral artery disease; 0.40 and lower indicates severe disease.

When you are a bit older, it may help to check your ABI.

I just had mine tested and it is 1.07 ie normal
