My experiences with Japanese food
A* : PJ Hilton
A : Tomoe SS15, Eastin Hotel
A - : Rakuzen Empire, Jyu Raku SS15,大将 SS15
B + : Rakuzen Courtyard, SS15, Hyotan SS15, Sakura SS12, Yamada SS15, Takumi, Tokyo Kitchen Taipan
B : Kinpachi SS17, Kiwami SS18, Kin Ryu Tei SS15
Category B are those that my last visit was more than a year ago, might be better now.
My worst experiences with Japanese food was in Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Jogoya Bukit Bintang and Shogan Sunway
I am running out of choices for Japanese food.
KL Hilton (Iketeru) and Shangrila (Zipangu)
Been to a few in KL but right now only 2 names come to mind.
Rakuzen in Plaza Damas
And Sushi Hinata in KL
Few people know about Kura in One-World Hotel at 1Utama
It is under the "Super Dining Group" which includes Rakuzen
In my opinion, Kura is much better than Rakuzen ...but it is only my opinion... go try it for yourself
I don't rate places like rakuzen and tomoe as Japanese restaurant. The cuisine at these places are kind of fusion, neither here nor there. Tomoe ss15 is the worst among them...
Zipangu Shangri-la is ok but too far from Subang jaya.
Next time, if you go to Penang, try the Miraku in G hotel at Gurney drive. I will purposely make a trip there when I go Penang..
Not afraid of fishes with Fukushima nuclear toxic I see...Or even jap vege are contaminated last i saw in NHK world channel...Me/ I am now scare of prospect of glowing in the dark...
in luv with bikes...in lust with AphroditeS AWAS! Suspek is an Avid procurer to myths, lies, legends, folklores, i-ching, rumors, misinformation, cakap-ayam, spɹoʍ uʍop ǝpısdn puɐ˙˙DLL .
p/s Take all the above with a XL salted duck egg, wash down with 2fingers of sodium hypochoride, and suck on to a pebble size tmn negara Rock salt
