If I can ask a different question - Why maths is important especially the "challenging" maths like additional maths ?

I studied add. math last time but I didn't find it difficult. I studied maths because I have to, these are subjects in SPM exam. The reason to learn maths has nothing to do with whether I like maths or the benefits of studying maths.

I am restudying the GCE O level add. maths now so that if my kid needs explanation/help, I can be a better one than his maths teachers.

Only now, I suddenly realise that all the while I was comfortable in a lot of numerical things is because of maths. I can confidently say that - Maths trains a person how to think logically, gather limited info and make use of them to analyse and solve problem... or analyse and refute popular myth ...

I think many people are interested on the family disputes of Lee family down south... but I think not many know the senior Lee is a very outstanding mathematician... !!

In 1971, Lee Tsien Loong studied mathematics in Cambridge University’s Trinity College. Two years later, he graduated top of his class, becoming the first senior wrangler !! A senior wrangler is the top mathematics undergraduate at Cambridge and is one of the greatest intellectual achievements attainable in Britain.

Scroll down the Senior Wrangler list, you will find Lee Tsien Loong name in 1973.
