In case of emergency (day or night), you don’t call taxi...

You call someone you trust – relatives, friends, neighbours, etc. Alternatively, you may want to contact the police.

Probably the most satisfying ride given was to a lady where the ride was ordered by a stranger at the LRT. This lady has the class which put many riders into shame especially some young punks. First, she salam and thanked me for coming and fetch her to a flat which is about 1km away. As she was carrying load of begs, I tried to send her to the exact block. Though she said it would be too troublesome as the lane would be tight for me to reverse my car.. But I replied it is my responsibility to send her safe and sound. Most of all, the loads she was carrying. End of the trip I was about to said free.......she handed me Rm10......" Ini untuk adik , Kalau saya ada wang lebih saya akan bayar Rm50 . The fare is only Rm2.00 aje ....but she continuedto say " Saya tahu.....tapi adik ambil, Terima Kasih " where she alighted before I could said :" I dun mind give a free lift to an old lady staying in a high rise flat at Lembah Subang.

Many young punks insist I go into the condo which are just steps away with RM3 to Rm5 Uber ride.......where I have to check with my driving lesen and made a big circle rounds with many speed bumps. The worst is one wannabe degree seeker from Sunway University asked me to made a illegal U turn to save 1RM. Told him I am a law abiding citizen and stir fried him if he is prepared for the traffic summon as gentleman since he is a wannabe degree holder of prestige university of higher learning. And most or all, the Uber ride is dirt cheap where the ride to the Subang Parade via the waze is just Rm8 without breaking the law and order. What bachelor degree sense was he thinking where he could get the Grab Taxi Uber driver to get his driving lesen suspended with demerit point? It was cheapstake and low thinking which is unbecoming of future degree holder....... Finally I lodged a complaint where he got a banana from Uber for endangering the driver and public.

( Unless t is a case of emergence, .then it is a different cerita........where the Mean Olde Chef would turn into Transporter jason statham....fast and furious to GH, IJN or Labour dept..,,,,,http://www.hotflick.net/flicks/2005_...tatham_041.jpg

Uber is a job?? Those who make Uber as thier job and sauce of income are Ublurred sotongs.

Why ? It doesnt makes ringgit and sense driving your own 4 wheels at 95 sens per kilonetrico while taxi on NGV charging at Rm1.95 per km. And to add to the insult, Uber is taking the juice at 25 cents which means the clueless ublurred sotong gets 0.70 cents where they drive 7 days a week about 10 hours a day to get the same wage as salaried employees. And they have to bear the expenses of no public holidays, medical leave, gaji and EPF. Some said contractual bonus of Christmas drops and New year Angpows. https://thenextweb.com/us/2017/01/20...#.tnw_syBh6uuY

Pelik tapi beanr, Grab is Osama Sama eek hailing riding or hell driving at your rislk or perils......they already electrical cars in Singaoura by Grablessman in place https://www.grab.com/sg/press/others...-to-singapore/

Most of all, the upfront fees by Uber or Grab is ..........http://nypost.com/2017/04/07/uber-ha...s-and-drivers/ with claims that the driver is paid the lower rate and Uber gets to keep “the difference charged to the User and the fare reported to the driver, in addition to the service fee and booking fee disclosed to drivers.”

Uber fined $20m for misleading drivers about potential earnings
    https://thenextweb.com/us/2017/01/20...#.tnw_syBh6uuY

According to the FTC’s findings, less than 10 percent of all drivers in those cities earned that kind of money where you can cook the system without being eaten alive.

Quoted from the link (post #155).... " US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took issue with Uber’s misleading messaging on its site, which said that an uberX drivers brought in a median income of more than $90,000 per year in New York, and over $74,000 per year in San Francisco... "

Interesting, they are people who believe they can earn USD90k per year as cab driver !!

Starting salary for fresh graduate from top schools in United States (Harvard, Stanford, Yale, etc) in the two highest-earning professions - investment banking and management consulting is around USD100k per year. An analyst who is in this industry based in KLCC said annual salary is around USD75k, annual bonus is about USD20K..

p/s : Someone is so proud and happy with his kid's starting salary of AUD55k in Australia. Well, I guess some people just don't know what they don't know......

Income 90k .....Outcome may be just 30k minus gas, service, tolls, depreciation of wear and tear from tyre to turbo charge, And dun forget potential medical fees from body wear and tear from driving 12 hours 7 days week.

When the ehailing biz just started in Malaysia, Uber can Grab at least RM20K from favorable rates in km, boost incentives and quest to guaranteed hours by driving for 12 hours. But then, rates tumbled to cheaper than MY taxi rate...and incentives scheme replaced after getting the numbers of Ublurred sotongs into the buffet trays . . , This variance of changed resulting those who mined that pile of goldmine to become katak back into their old habitat employment. This sweet and sour sauce of information was sourced from ex drivers.....3 of them MY Chinese of used car dealer and executive coolies. Now, you hardly see able bodies of Bak Good Teh grabbing thier cars to uber for 85 sens per kilometer. And those days the rides were meaningful as the distance average about 10 km. Now the ride can be a short as 1 km, And the worst nightmare is some drivers drive from 20km distance to pick the riders and got a fare of Rm2. To rub the salt, clueless sotong paid Rm2.10 in LDP toll to pick up the riders.

And the upfront fare which is just mere rm35 tp pick up KLIA to Seremban. And you come back empty handed as you may not be allowed to pick up riders outside Selangor. Even if you do, what are the chances of getting riders back to KL from there? An hour drive where you lose monies and time......and of course gasoline.....

Yang Beruber dengan jimat dan cermat in system and style............by driving to earn teh tarik and raise funds for charity but not giving charity rides to punks who expected me to thier slave to pick the up from 20km for 1 km joy ride. Sumore, expect me to wait for them to finish thier 20 minutes bath or shower.

There's the price to pay in overdrive . Up todate there are probably 3 cases where drivers died from sudden death in Malaysia. The latest is from Singapore. https://www.allsingaporestuff.com/ar...worked-himself

I hailed one Uberman last week where I found out that he had a stroke attack at 38 years old 9 months back. What the Hell was he thinking? Told him he should consult his doctor whether he should be in the driver seat for hours. The hours of restrictions in movement would potentiate another attack in blood clot where deep vein thrombosis would result in second attack. He thought quitting his office job would be less stressful . Now he is thinking twice.....and I had probably save his life .....and inconvenience of suffering from stroke that impairs his hand and legs movement. And the medical cost ro cost of staying alive........

It is an excellent idea to have a Uber Apps in your mobile phone.

With an Uber Apps, you can actually see how NEAR any available Uber is.

So driving a few km to pick up a passenger is in-think of or unbelieveable.

This applies to countries with Uber services.

I was in a Taxi at the airport to go home and the driver was an elderly Indian.

Just to strike out a conversation, I asked him how busy was.

    He complained like mad.

    I asked "why"?

"It's Uber, they are driving us Taxi to the wall"

I asked how many Uber in Perth?

    "7,000 Uber in Perth"

    "How many Taxi?"

    "5,000 Taxi"

    "Is your information accurate?"

    "Yes," he said.

From where you gave ur info?

    "From Taxi Association"

Personally, I am happy with the current situation.

Taxi used to cost about AUD33.00 from my home to the airport.

Then it kept going up till AUD58.50 for no good reasons.

Now it is back to about AUD45.00 cos' Uber is in town

Uber charges a bit lesser but that is immaterial.

Susah Cari Makan from Malaysia Insight.

Kisah drebar has been a full-time Uber and Grabcar for the past two years and earns a monthly gross income, ranging from RM3k to RMk. ( actual income ? )

“Ir he gets a request from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca, it’s only RM250 or RM300 a trip. Imagine, your petrol is already around RM100 and toll is RM50, so how can you survive? ( Seem lots a money but it is one way ticket since you definitely cannot get Apa or Uber request from a different state zone. )

The only insight I can give for this Ublurr sotong is whenever if the rider dun pay, it is alright. I get get the full unpaid amount by telling the customer service that either the rider forgotten his wallet or simply ran away.Dun worry , be happy

Only less than 5% remains to be Ublurred sotong or tryto grab other jobs in a year according to CNBC. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/04/20/only...ys-report.html

the number one complaint among Uber drivers is the pay, according to undisclosed data seen by The Information. Many Uber drivers have complained about unfair compensation for long trips, and not being able to accept tips.

Nowadays, it is rather difficult not ended up as graduates..

There are 20 public universities in Malaysia now (during my time, only 6)... and at least another 40 private universities.

For public uni, they have to accept many who are not supposed to be there to make up the numbers to meet the policies..

For private uni, they will take as many as they can as this is a business...

The quality of these so-called graduates is generally below expectations, in both academic and social skills. Because of their poor academic qualifications and lack of other essential skills, they are not the human talents that MNC are looking for. They are also not the work force that meet SMI and entrepreneur's requirements due to their poor attitudes. Their best hope is public sector and maybe GLC but the demand is always far less than supply.

Of course, there are exceptions. They are graduates who possess the right attributes and academically brilliant, but this is minority.
