MBSJ Pavement replacement works along SS19/2

Thank you Subang Jaya Municipal Council for repairing the broken Drain Cover/ Pavements along SS19/2.

It's have been a long time since the it was broken.

BUT, you have made a huge mistake.

You seems to have forgotten that the road needs drainage and you have covered all the drainage holes.

Admin, please move this to the appropriate section if I have posted this wrongly.

If I am around there area during or after a downpour, I will photography the flooding. As of now, that junction at SS19/2 and SS19/3 is already flooded when it rains. Maybe by then it will become Sungai SS19/2

All those areas where sections of busy roads or highway that flood during heavy rain is all due to insufficient drainage, flawed design, stuck outlets...ESPECIALLY flawed design which is never sufficient to cater for excessive water flow. Happened all too often, then its huge cost just to rectify the situation or send people to clear the blockages. In this era when rain is heavy is really HEAVY! eventhough its a short while. They never learn anything wan! Undue maintenance or repair cost is more expensive than construction on the long run.

Lastly its the rakyat who loose out again by spending more on petrol fuel at traffic jams and crawls at affected areas. INEFFICIENCY that result in SYSTEM FAILURE is at RAKYAT's COST!..NO one is readily liable to compensate anyone for calamity or loss. In this land, you're mostly ON YOUR OWN!

Road curbs should be like this: http://cms.esi.info/Media/productIma...4841005_PF.jpg

Those slots are small and easily clog in our tidak apa attitude to throwing out rubbish from the car. Also the leaves from the shrubs and what's left behind when the garbage collector passes by. Even those big arches are clogged, can't imagine those small slots.

Maybe they should have "mobile plumbers and responsible inspectors" driving around all the busy roads within Subang and other areas within their jurisdiction EVERYDAY to monitor and address any situation on the spot.
Its stepping up the responsibility of good maintenance and knowing whats going on around them. As mentioned before, to maintain a tropical country like Malaysia to a very high standard costs a lot of money and manpower. Just to maintain landscaping, tree cutting, sweeping leaves, clearing drains or similar issues cost a lot of money..tax payers willing to foot the bill? I don't think so...so goes on 3rd 4th world culture. Our tropical weather can wreak havoc anytime..again costs money to repair.

The biggest culprit to these nicely re-surfaced roads are the communication and power cable layers. Water and waste water repairs comes next. No need to describe the re-patch dug out lanes.
Of course the bigger culprit is the governing authorities for allowing these slip shot job to continue.

When I was much younger by few decades, I already learned a culture here. A newly surfaced road won't last long, soon after, utilities works start, dig here, dig there, patch here, patch there, ending looking like patched jeans and we're all back to square one.
