Weaving birds' Nests of Borneo. Normally you see these weaving birds' nests deep in the jungles in the interior of Sabah.

But here in Kokol Chalets, you can see them comfortably hanging from the trees.

    Halal Cake Shop.

In early Jan 2017, I noticed this new kiosk infront of Coles Supermarket in Garden City selling cute cookies & cakes but 2 months later I found it was closing down due to poor sale & high rent/overheads.

Yes, times are hard for small business in recent years & owners lost their hard earned money.

Normally they are business migrants & they have to do business to fulfil their entry obligation.

That Kiosk was made by them & they have to demolish it because it is temporary.

    Plus rental and other overheads.

Easily they lost at least AUD$100,000.00

If this one fail, they may have to start another different one or else buy over another business to show they have business skills or else pulang their kampongs.

Don't play2....some people think it is easy to get in.

I think if someone is qualified to be in, it is not difficult to be in.

It is only difficult for those who can’t meet the criterion but still try hard to find “ways” to get in, people that I described as neither here nor there in other thread...

I think to qualify as business migrant, one needs minimum AUD1.5 million to be accepted in the Investor migrant category or minimum AUD5 million in the Significant Investor migrant category.

I am not sure why they need to prove they are running a business. I though what they have do is to keep their money in an investment in Australian state. The investment can be an ownership of business, cash on deposit, real estate, etc that is owned by the person for the purpose of producing a return by way of income or capital gain.

But then again, if someone possess AUD5 million, why need to migrate there (people in this category normally are doing well in their home country). If they think australia is the right place for their offspring, they can easily afford to invest in real estate to pave way for their children to go there without the need to shred their passport and affect their income stream or lifestyle in their present country..

p/s : some lowly qualified axx#h# from malaysia want to sneak in to australia because they are eyeing the generous medical and education benefits there. These people can't make it here, so they tried hard to sneak into another place, never mind if they have to live like a second class neither-here-nor-there in aussie.. a bit like the bangla/indon/nepal/ here. !!

Lower end Business Migrant needs to be capable of bringing in AUD$850,000 within two years after the visa grant and also must run a business.

Other Investors need to invest AUD$1.5 million for 4 years in a bond or similar, no need to do business.

For AUD$5 millions you walk in and do not need to know a single English.

But if you come by boats, they turn the boats around, pay the boat men hard cash & the boat men take you back away from Australia.

Or send you to Papua New Guinea or Nauru island & you camp by the sea side & enjoy your stay there more or less for good.

No body wants to know you except do-gooders

Sea containers are very useful, in Christchurch, NZ, there is a new city made up of them. Here in Perth, they turn them into cafes & bus stop.
