There are various forms of entertainment....just name them, you can find them.

For example, tiger shows, most joints have separate sections for males and females.

If not, as have happened times and again, over-excited-patrons end up freely love-making in the room.

Of course, there are also sections where males & females watch the shows together...
I was quite naive when I first watched this show with colleagues there, I thought the actresses/performers were forced into this profession by underworld gang club. Later, I understand this is just another job for them. Some do it full-time, some chose to do it part-time, like insurance agent job, for instance...

Of course, the business is under the "protection" of the local yakuza but it is still legitimate tax-paying business..

p/s : Just to share, the infleunce of underworld organization called Yakuza is deep-rooted into Japanese society. They are everywhere - political party, charity organization, local council, business association, etc, etc. You wouldn’t know from their appearance whether they are yakuza, can't tell from how they dress or what they do for living. I knew one of the senior managers during my assignment there is a yakuza member. Very friendly, very nice guy, speak moderately well English and well-travelled too. When I was with him in the dining and drinking places (the typical Japanese bistro at the back lane or alley, not the star-studded restaurants), I can see he is a different person in those places.

I was in Kyoto end of last year. I saw this building quite attractive and I was told it is a Japanese opera theatre.

Yes, this is a nice place to avoid the crowded Kinkakuji (金閣寺) nearby. Can just walk about 20 minutes from kinkakuji to Ryoanji

If the schedule is tight, many tourists (especially those from guided tours) will choose the more famous Kinkakuji than this queit temple.

p/s : Weather over there is nice to walk even around christmas in Dec, day time is about 8 deg C. How to walk in SJ when ambient tenperature is more than 35 C !!

I stayed at Mt. Fuji (Kawaguchiko) for about 5 days and went around the areas and the 5 lakes. This is one of the Mt. Fuji photos I managed to take in a clear weather.

We also travelled to a nearby town, Hakone. We wanted to take the "Pirate Ship" to go around the nearby lake but it was cancelled due to bad weather.

Woke up one of the mornings to see the rainbow right in front of the hotel we stayed.

We tried to look for the pot of gold but ....
