CCY, I assume when you mentioned TBS, you mean the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan which is located at Bandar Tasik Selatan where the KLIA Monorail, the KTM and all the buses and taxis serving nationwide destinations meet. I would call the TBS the mother of transportation hub. Well, to go there just simply hop onto the LRT at Taipan and it will bring you there. With effective from tomorrow if all their transition plan are executed well tonite, you just sit on your fat ass on the same seat. But there is a slight problem. If you see the approaching coach is a 2 coach configuration, it will terminate its journey at Putra Heights since this dinosaur coach is the older generation one. Only the 6 coach configuration will seamlessly take you all the way there. I presume those sitting in the 2 coach system will be advised to switch coach at Putra Heights should they want to go to TBS and onwards. So this all will happen depending on how they transit tonight.

May be next week, I want to be adventurous. I will try the Ampang line to see that part of KL I seldom get to see.

This is where I wasn't sure if the route from Putra Heights thru Puchong onwards to BTS was ready or not.

Just before I embark on my epic journey to Sentul Timur, I called the customer careline 03-78852585 to confirm whether their migration if their new signalling system is successfully done last night, she replied, "It is all system go."

So to recap, with the full migration done last night, the new generation six-car train which will only be used from Putra Heights and can travel directly to Sentul Timur. Prasarana has ordered 50 of which only 20 were delivered and used on this line now. By the way, this Putra Heights - Sentul Timur line is officially renamed as the LRT Sri Petaling Line beginning today.

Only those who want to go to Ampang need to switch train at Chan Sow Lin station and the line will be known as LRT Ampang line and there are only eight stations in between.

So CCY, I was told the 6 car train plying on our LRT Kelana Jaya line today tak bolih pakai to go to Bandar Tasik Selatan. Anybody taking the Kelana Jaya line will have to switch train at Putra Heights where the new 6 car train will take you straight to TBS.

They will use the new 6 car trains on the Kelana Jaya line after the remaining 15 trains are delivered by the end of this year. These new trains are to upgrade the older generation 2 and 4 car trains which are used from day one. Until then, we will have to move our butts at Putra Heights.

PC ....Swicthing train when changing to another line is normal ...I suppose. The problem is that if we have to get out of the kelana line and buy another ticket from putra heights to TBS ...hmmmm.. that's not a seamless integration , isn't it. It should be just get out of kelana train and get up onto the petaling train to TBS...no ?
Of course if we do not have to lift our heavy butt right after sinking down from Taipan till TBS would be heavenly....

Obviously some of you haven't been to Sentral ... no longer need to walk across Jln Tun Sambantan (Jln Brickfields) because there is a covered bridge from NU Sentral to the monorail station. Walking from Sentral through NU Sentral, you wouldn't even know you actually crossed Tun Sambantan to the monorail station

You're quite right, although its a little distance and one flight of escalator, its all within the complex to the Monorail. Before it was ready a couple of years ago, I LOATHED weaving around a huge construction site walking all the way, crossing the main road to the Monorail station. I really cursed how we were at the mercy of those circumstances. Imagine if it was bad weather and desperate to cross over to monorail station at that point in time. Not to mention its a rocking sideways ride all the way along the monorail route. They have since added newer and wider carriage trains which are far more improved than the old trains. Now, I would take the LRT all the way to KL Sentral, hop over to Monorail and to Sg Wang (Bukit Bintang)...easy. Before the Kelana extension, I would have to think 4X going to Bukit Bintang by public transport. Sickening!

Hi. You go to KL Sentral & change to Monorail and alight at Medan Tuanku Monorail which close by.

Strangely, the KTM intercity trains don't stop at TBS.

Historically, KTM rail lines are the oldest trunk rail track since colonial times. Its intended that change rail car at KL Sentral and head southwards to TBS for any KTM commuter.
I'd love to go MidValley once a while from Subang but just don't like the idea of changing and sitting on KTM commuter train..so slow. I wish there was a more direct and faster mode of transport other than driving there.

If you want to go to Midvalley via LRT, then you'll most probably have to wait for Eco City development to be completed. There will be a new KTM station (Eco City station), which will be linked to Abdullah Hukum LRT station. I think both stations will be linked to Eco City, which in turn will link to Midvalley. But, as for the walking distance, I'm not too sure if it's worth walking

If its one complex I hardly go, drive there or by any other means, MidValley probably ranks at the very bottom of places I visit. The last time I entered into that place was in May 2014.
Yes, its a very popular shopping complex and I just loath drive and park there. Anyway, times have changed and my need to go to that place is ZERO. I used to like the Japanese food at Jusco and then browse around for music media at Rock Corner...that's about it. With current prices all up and up..my need is south of ZERO!

As you mentioned, times have changed. And in my opinion, midvalley is not doing as well as they used to. I can go at 12pm on weekends and still find many empty parking lots. The same can't be said for 1u and pyramid
