Use that free app to gauge the difference as it have options of different mode of payment, senior citizen's card included. Its so easy to use.
Normal fare is token, as in you pay cash at the machine and not using other sanctioned cards.

Example comparing the furthest distance between two stations. The Cash fare from Putra Heights to Gombak is RM 6.30. Using your Touch and Go card, you only have to pay RM5.40. If you are a regular user and have the RapidKL season pass, you save a lot more. The Smart 7 (weekly) is only RM4.90 while the Smart 30 (monthly) it is only RM4.40. If you are Senior Citizen, then you get a 50% discount on Cash rate.
How best to go from Taipan LRT station to Concord Hotel KL? Thanks in advance for your input.

Where can I purchase the “MyRapid Smart 7 Weekly” or “MyRapid Smart 30 Monthly” ?
You may purchase the products at the Customer Service Office at all stations including BRT. Customers are to activate transit validity for both services before use. For your other questions, please visit the above website.
You can also call their
HELPLINE: 03 7885 2585.
But if you are a senior citizen, you have to go to the RapidKL office at Pasar Seni station itself. Bring along a photocopy of your MyKad.
Thank you very much, UngKB!

BRT Sunway line. Blardi expensive fare if you ask me. I don't mind rent a bicycle for RM1 and cycle all the way on that elevated road to Sunway Lagoon. Its RM1 per Km.
Here's some articles. Note that most public transportation commuters can be from the lower income group..and urban poor like me.

I rather take the LRT to Dang Wangi and walk to Concorde Hotel. You waste time getting down at KL Sentral and walk across to Jalan Tun Sambanthan to wait.and take the monorail. And I think it is also more costly.
Yes, more fare due to checking out at KL Sentral from Kelana Line, then hopping over to Monorail with another fare. Its not as seamless as USJ to Masjid Jamek walk directly to Star Lrt to Pudu, check out there at Pudu. BTW, commuters should be healthy and able to walk with ease to or from anywhere especially 2 or more staircases in case downed escalator or no escalator. Then its observed many lazy commuters using the lifts meant for disabled or not so fit people..blardi opportunists. Me at blardi approching 60 would not be that lazy.
Thanks folks!

Pardon this noob here....seldom take the Lrt ... now may be , as the connection are much better.
When we take the LRT to TBS terminal vis Putra Height exchange terminal , do we just get down and hop onto the star line on the other platform to TBS ?
Or ....we have to get out of the Kelana lrt at putra heights and get in again onto the star lrt line onwards to TBS terminal.... ?
To get to TBS, Kelana LRT to KL Sentral, hop onto train that goes South to TBS along the way. Not perfect but guess thats how it is.
KL Sentral was meant for main crossover to other lines and intended destination. To KLIA is blardi expensive fare. Better off with other road transport.
