    Celcom trying to scam

After so many years with Celcom, they are trying to scam us.

I notice this "SMS Content Service - Received" and "SMS Content Service - sent"

    Is not SMS received FREE??

Celcom customer service claims that it's SMS from online purchases, like Lazada, Groupon and etc..Then when I asked Lazada, it's FOC. So who is trying to push it? Then I got a request for statement, it clearly shows that the SMS is from..."MAYBANK" But are theose TAC and other notifications from Maybank2e free?

Finally a nice chap from Celcom called..their System billed in error..So my question..Since when?

So Check your monthly bills. they may be skimming you of money.

Not an issue for those who have fixed minimum monthly subscription

Nowadays, once you subscribed to telco fixed monthly data plan, all local calls and sms are free and unlimited.. !!

It's still a Scam. I am using a Tron RM10/ month package. Why can a company that buys in bulk from Digi offer such a low price and those so called Big Boys have to charge an arm and a foot for the same service?

I would think that Tron is good for those you make very few calls. At RM10 validity for a whole year, thats a good deal.

However, their call rates are at 20c/min and that's double compared to Umobile [Prepaid]. However, with Umobile [who happen to be the cheapest on the block now].....you will need to topup a min of RM30/month to be able to call out and the validity is 3 months. But you get 3GB/mth FOC too.

Tron looks like a good package for those who rarely make calls, use WiFi and WhatsApp for their text and free calls.....Great for the 'back-up' phone.

I'm still holding on to my Maxis Postpaid package.....been planning to move but haven't got down to it.....quite frankly, with the quality of WhatsApp calls now, and their very versatile instant text and video messaging......One really does not need these 'unlimited calls' packages.[unless you talk a lot, or in Sales] All you need is WiFi and a bit of Data. [Just use normal calls for land lines and for those without smartphones]

not selling Tron, that topup is as you mention good for a spare phone. That I whole heartly agree.

Any topup is for 1 year. That RM10/month is for the 256mb of data. Since I have WiFi at home and at work, that is more than sufficient for me

I don't pay my mobile phone bill. Can't recall when was the last time I paid my phone bill (I think I have never paid my mobile phone bill).

My previous Maxis package is like 5GB per month and RM90 max for calls and sms. The fixed monthly bill is RM168. (I don't think I used more than 1GB, and I hardly call or text !!)

I think because of the recent boycott of their less competitive package, Maxis just introduced more attractive packages and I was told my package has been changed to 15GB per month with unlimited calls and sms, and the fixed monthly bill has reduced to RM158.

Back to your issue of scam, as long as the same amount of fixed money paid every month, I don't think it is a scam to me.
