Its just day 3 of Ramadan.
Its been reported that some or many vendors have raised prices or profiteering for no real reason.
Its my 4th year that I avoid these places due to unnecessary indulgent expenditure. Buying more just to indulge, thereon taxing more on your purse. With prices raised, its disappointing.
Willing seller, willing buyer basis..very normal.

You mean going to this type of makeshift road side stalls is a form of "indulgence" ??

Yes, its submitting to temptation and due indulgence if I go ahead and buy from my POV and my circumstances. Already there's been news report of people grumbling there's been price inflation at some places in the 1st week. this year.
Its natural, nobody wants to pay more than what its really worth.

I've seen people pay anything from RM40 onwards for 2 pax with one meat or fresh fish dish, vege, another common dish and 2-3 bowl of rice. Average out about RM15 to 20 per head expenditure. Thats common price at just about any tai chow..even road side ones aren't far off in pricing. Thats how Shrigggggit is to us now..getting worthless by the year. Other day, I went to public laundry to wash my IKEA sofa upholstery with own detergent and softener. RM7 for 25mins. I cannot tumble dry the material, sure rosak and not recommended. OK lah..no complaint as its within my affordability for I can't wash that at my aging Electrolux machine. I wash my upholstery every few months without fail. The water turn brown. Imagine those who never wash for years.

We must remember USJ/SJ tai chow is not like those under the big angsana tree, we are talking like those in shops not coffeeshops with clean table, aircon etc.I eat another place in USJ 1 also cost me RM140 but with another meat dishes. Those in SS18 tai chows prices are reasonable with prices like RM6 upwards.

"One man's food is the other man poison". What i like Fook Munis their char siew pow and lotus leaf rice. As KH, the food is dirt cheap in SJ stardard, service is efficient, that is why lunch crowd is alway full. The other tai chow is X frens, almost the same food as KH.Actually i think USJ/SJ tai chow is much better than KL
